Godspell (2012 Revised Version) was conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak with music and new lyri c s b y S t e p h e n Schwartz. These performances are presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI (www.mtishows.com). Disney s Based on the Gospel according to Matthew, God- spell is a modern version of the story of Jesus. With a cast of 10 actors, several well known parables are dramatized to tell the story of a group of people who come together and form a community committed to Jesus and ready to go forth sharing all they have learned. Featuring much loved songs such as Day by Day, Turn Back, O Man and All Good Gifts, the audience is led on a musical journey inspired by Jesus s message of kindness, tolerance and love. Beauty & the Beast Step into the enchanted world of Broadway's modern classic, Disney's Beauty And The Beast, an international sensation that has played to over 35 million people worldwide in 13 countries. Based on the Academy-Award winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for over 13 years and was nominated for 9 Tony Awards including Best. The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household w i l l b e d o o m e d f o r a l l e t e r n i t y. This "tale as old as time" is filled with spectacular costume and set opportunities, or even more simply staged, Disney's Beauty And The Beast offers a great opportunity to bring your entire community together for family theatre at its best. Join this talented cast as they present a new take on this story with a modern vision that relates across the ages. Shows will be held on July 15, 16, 22 & 23 at. There will be matinees on July 23 at 1:00 pm and July 24 at 2:30pm. Tickets are for reserved seating and range from $13 to $17. Storyteller Productions to Hold Auditions For Irving Berlin s White Christmas Irving Berlin s WHITE CHRISTMAS Storyteller Productions is pleased to announce unusually early auditions for their November show Irving Berlin s White Christmas. Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features seventeen Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander. The dazzling score features well known standards including Blue Skies, I Love A Piano, How Deep Is the Ocean and the perennial favorite, White Christmas. Auditions will be held July 25 and 26 at 6:00 PM. This show is dance intensive. All cast under consideration will be needed for a dance call on Thursday, July 28. This call will focus primarily on tap. Because of the large amount of tap required, most of the cast will be needed at once-a-week tap classes at the studio of Darla Toker to prepare for the shows choreography beginning the week after auditions. The normal Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday rehearsal schedule will not begin until September 12. This show will be directed by Roy Denton with assistant director Darla Toker, who will also choreograph. Christian Family Theater is very excited to bring their 2016 multi-generational production to The Colonnade this October. One of the most endearing shows of all time, Time Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel s favorite son. This is a fun and fresh retelling of the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. It is a magical musical full of eclectic and unforgettable songs, including Those Canaan Days, Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door, and of course Go, Go, Go Joseph just to name a few. It s a toe tapping, funny, colorful and emotional journer through the story of Joseph found in the book of Genesis. This show will be under the direction of Dale Dye, musical direction of Judy Reich and choreography of Christi Barr. Roles are available for adults, youth and children. Auditions will be held on July 23rd and 24th with call backs on July 26th. Auditions will be held at Brainerd United Methodist Church in Chattanooga, TN. Performance dates are October 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 & 16. Sunday performances will be matinees at 2:30pm. All performances will take place at The Colonnade.
