Programmable jack-connector IR AND BUTTONS CONTROL If you want to make use of the buttons or the LEDs of your external B&O receiver, the jumpers must be in this position (factory set). You wire two 3.5 mm jack connectors as show below: - one for the buttons/leds (2-wires, pin 1-2) - one for the infrared signals (3-wires, pin 3-5) For the buttons/leds you may optionally use a stereo connector or a mono-connector. It is easier to verify that connectors are correctly inserted if you use a mono-connector for the buttons. Programmable jack-connector BUTTONS CONTROL ONLY If you only want to control the TT455-RT-238 by the buttons on the front of the external receiver, you will still need to install both connectors. The data wire carrying the IR signal can be leaved out. Digital Inputs 5 4 3 2 1 9 8 7 6 Digital Inputs 1 or 4 100K 5 volt 5 The digital Input is internally pulled up by a 100 Kohm resistor. In order to activate the input, the input pin 1, must be grounded. The TT455-RT-238 s digital inputs can be configured to react to both ON and OFF. This allows you to activate one action when the input is activated and another action when the input is released. For example: 1) Connect a motion PIR detector and let the TT455-RT-238 control your light system by RS232 when the PIR is activated or deactivated. 2) Used by some dealers: An outside motion sensor, turn on the TV and play a DVD when people pass by the window.
Digital Outputs The digital outputs are programmable in the in/out tab, in Memory Map of the Configurator. Outputs can work as: Active 12 volt (default) or Active Ground or Ative Ground with 5 volt pull-up
Digital Outputs, Active 12 volt The digital outputs are designed for direct control of 12 V relays. This can be used to control lamps, curtains, motors, etc. We offer Schrack relays and DIN/WALL mount housing. 5 4 3 2 1 9 8 7 6 12 volt Active 12 volt 3R3 Pin 6 = digital output 1 Pin 9 = digital output 2 Pin 5 = Ground A2 A1 21 24 COM NO 11 14 Can be screwed to the wall or mounted in a DIN rail. Digital Outputs, Active 12 volt Example on how the TT455-RT-238 may control a 115/230 vac lamp on/off. NOTE: In some countries - by law - only an electrician may install 115/230 vac. Run the fused phase (brown) to pin 11 (lamp 1) and pin 21 (lamp 2). Run the neutral/ground (can have different names) to lamp 1 and lamp 2. Run pin 14 (on/off output for lamp 1) to lamp 1. Run pin 24 (on/off output for lamp 2) to lamp 2. Run TT455-RT-238's digital output 1 (or 2) to A2 (coil) of the relay. Run TT455-RT-238's ground to A1 (coil) of the relay. The TT455-RT-238 is totally isolated from the 115/230 vac due to the relay. 115-230 vac 50/60 Hz (fused) 2 lamps 21 COM 11 TT455-RT-238 24 NO 14 12 volt SCHRACH 3R3 digital output 5 A2 COIL 22 12 NC Front view A1
Digital Outputs, Active Ground 5 volt Active ground 100K solder pad 3R3 6 or 9 5 The Digital Output is a Ground-active Open Collector. When the output is on the signal is grounded. An internal optional 5 volt pull-up resistor can be connected, by soldering a solder-pad for each output. The pull-up for digital output 1 is shown below with blue marking. The pull-up for digital output 2 is shown below with red marking. Updated 110725
Digital Outputs, Active Ground The below red marking shows where to solder, in order to insert the 5 volt pull-up resistor for the digital output 2. Simply solder the two pads together. OBSERVE Please consult with LinTronic before soldering. Updated 110725

Selectable IR and RS232 ports Receive RS232 commands as trigger In this example we receive a customized RS232 command from a B&O Masterlink Gateway, then converts it to a command for the RELAY 208 board (curtains, lift, etc.) or your light system - and control multiple audio/video devices by infrared. Cascading transparent RS232 ports Our products can be configured to pass-on RS232 commands. This allows your remote to control the computer/controller, the TT455-RT-238 (audio/video), the RELAY 208 (curtains, lift, etc.) and your light system. Simply control the TT455-RT-238 and let it control the rest - or send the commands straight through the TT455-RT-238 or the RELAY 208. It also allows your computer to control the TT455-RT-238 directly and the RELAY and the light system - through the TT455-RT-238/RELAY 208.
