2 The Comoser Jeremy Woolstenhulme received his achelor o Music Education degree rom righam Young University in 2000 and a Masters o Arts degree in cello erormance rom University o Nevada Las Vegas in 2005. Mr. Woolstenhulme currently serves as the orchestra director at Hyde ark Middle School in the Clark County School District o Las Vegas NV where he teaches and conducts seven orchestras daily. His award-winning orchestras have erormed at the Midwest Clinic and the ASTA National Conerence. In 2015 his orchestra earned irst lace honors at the ASTA National Orchestra Festival in the middle school division. Mr. Woolstenhulme has also traveled with his orchestras to major cities around the United States and Euroe. As a roessional cellist Mr. Woolstenhulme is a member o the Las Vegas hilharmonic and the Seasons String Quartet. He also erorms as a reelance musician at many entertainment venues in Las Vegas. He is the ounder coordinator and instructor o the Las Vegas String Worksho an innovative weeklong summer cam or students. With a steadily growing number o original and arranged works to his credit Mr. Woolstenhulme is a commissioned and ublished comoser many o which have been erormed around the world. His works have consistently been included as J.W. eer Editors Choice Selections and can be ound on estival reertoire lists. He is co-author with Terry Shade and Wendy arden o the highly acclaimed string method String asics. His secialty is to write or middle and high school orchestras where he comoses to teach challenge and insire. He has served as clinician and guest conductor throughout the United States Canada Australia (including the restigious Maryborough Conerence) and the eole s Reublic o China. As students get acquainted with notes rhythms and bow lits a slower temo is erect and having them lay a smooth martelé-style bowing will hel them achieve the end goal. Working towards erormance temo then can be aced to it the roiciency o your grou. Warming u on a D Major scale by rote will hel students get the tonality into their mindset and will also assist in securing the basic inger atterns they will need when laying the comosition. Since dynamics lay an imortant role in this work use the D Major scale to introduce the execution o hairin crescendos and decrescendos. Focus on changing bow seeds bow lacement and bow division so to insure success when alying those techniques into the music. Learning ank The horizon also called a skyline is the visible line where earth s surace and the sky aear to meet. According to National Geograhic there is the local horizon which can include trees buildings and mountains. There is also the sea level horizon and it can show exact times o sunrise or sunset. A truly antastic lace to see the sea level horizon is at an ocean beach.
