Welcome to The Castle, Slottet, on Slottsbacken 8 in the very centre of Stockholm s Old Town. We reside in Flemingska palatset, built in 1650 by the cabinet minister Eric Fleming. In our beautiful gold ornate palace halls with original Gustavian interior from the 1780 s you will give lasting impressions, regardless of whether you arrange PR-events, conferences, presentations, launch parties, receptions or other functions. At The Castle you can host up to 150 participants in an unbeatable location overlooking the Royal Palace and Skeppsbrokajen. This grand, but yet intimate, environment, in combination with the progressive and inspiring atmosphere from the co-working community in the building, creates excellent conditions for hosting extraordinary events. The venue has only recently become accessible for events, having been used solely as an office for many years. The classic halls also lend themselves perfectly to historical period drama productions. FLEMINGSKA SALEN Flemingska salen, the great hall of Flemingska palatset, is still dressed in the original decor from the 18th century with hand painted wallpaper and gold panelling. The large windows let in plenty of natural light during the day and frame a beautiful view in the evening. It serves as an excellent backdrop for product launches, fashion show cat walks or other performances and presentations. This is also our most suitable room for historical period drama productions. SPEGELSALEN The Mirror Room is decorated with marble mantelpieces and large, gold frame mirrors from the 18th century. The centre piece is a massive wooden conference table. With this setup it is perfect for board meetings, negotiations, dinners and similar gatherings. Setting aside the table, this corner room with a separate entrance also serves well as a conference room or event space. CAFÉET The café is the warm, social camp fire of The Castle co-working community during office hours. On a normal day, this is where the members socialize and network over meals, coffees and drinks. As an event space our largest room offers an unpretentious mix between creativity and comfort and comes equipped with an advanced speaker system, mood lighting and plenty of kitchenware for serving food and drinks. YOGASALEN This is an open, clean space that can be used for many purposes. As the name suggests, it is ideal for physical activities in smaller groups, but is equally useful as a conference room by adding chairs and tables. It is also suitable as a photo studio, screening room or lecture room. GOOD TO KNOW These rooms can be booked separately or together to host events for up to 150 guests. They can be arranged to suit a variety of moods, depending on the requirements for your event. Any room can be equipped with projector and screen, sound system, white board, flip chart and other equipment. We also have a selection of meeting rooms that can be used in combination to create a bigger or more eclectic event space, or separately for smaller events and meetings. Organic coffee and tea is always included and we can arrange catering for any other food or drink preference for an additional cost. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks for the event, or connect us with a supplier of your choice.
ABOUT THE CASTLE The Castle is a co-working space in Stockholm practicing participatory culture. We strive to be a space open to a wide range of different companies, organisations and personalities, creating a community where the members feel safe, welcome and inspired. You can find us in Flemingska palatset, a 17th century palace located in the centre of Gamla stan, overlooking The Royal Palace and Skeppsbrokajen. The second floor was rebuilt and decorated in Gustavian style in the 1780 s, which has been kept in its original design ever since and still create a beautiful backdrop for events and productions.
