1 United States Navy Band Concert/Ceremonial Band Clarinet Audition Jan 25, 2019 The United States Navy Band is the Navy's remier musical organization, based in Washington, DC The Concert/Ceremonial Deartment is regularly staffed by 85 musicians who rotate between Concert and Ceremonial duty Recognized as one of the finest wind ensembles in the world, the Concert Band has erformed marches, atriotic selections, orchestral transcritions and modern wind ensemble reertoire on national tours, ublic concerts and educational conferences for nearly 100 years The Ceremonial Band erforms music at official military government functions and other secial events, including ceremonies for high-level military and civilian government officials at the White House and Pentagon, and funerals at Arlington National Cemetery Starting salary in the US Navy Band is $61,557-$67,461, lus 30 days aid leave annually, and full benefits for members and deendents Members may also be eligible for an enlistment bonus (u to $10,000) and/or the Student Loan Reayment Program (u to $65,000) Those selected for the US Navy Band are aointed to the rank of musician first class (E-6) following recruit training under a contract for ermanent duty only with the US Navy Band Alicants must be aged 18 to 39 and otherwise qualified for service in the US Navy This audition will take lace on Jan 25, 2019, at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC All arts are to be reared as they are resented in this audition acket Sight-reading may be required on semi-final and final rounds Alication Instructions For official instructions as well as eligibility information, lease send the following materials to: navybandauditions@navymil (1) One-age resume (2) Letter of Endorsement (current DOD service members only) You must e-mail the Navy Band in order to secure an audition All materials are due by 11:59 m EST on Jan 11, 2019
