Descriptin: The IMCAP-ND is develpmental relatinship-based framewrk that fcuses n hw clients perceive, interpret, and create music with the therapist as the first step in frmulating clinical gals and strategies. In additin, the IMCAP-ND prvides the therapist with a methd fr bserving, listening, and rating musical: 1) scial-emtinal respnses, 2) cgnitin/perceptin, and preferences, perceptual efficiency, and self-regulatin. T administer the IMCAP-ND, the therapist clinically imprvises music t create relatinal pprtunities fr the client in play. Cnsistent with the DIR/Flrtime Mdel and relatinshipbased music-centered wrk, the IMCAP-ND is cmpsed f three cmpnents: 1) three develpmentally-based quantitative scales, 2) guiding principles fr cnducting the in-sessin assessment, and 3) templates t frmulate gals and treatment plans.
