April 2018 2 nd Grade News Our poetry unit begins in ELA this month! We will be writing and reading poetry of all kinds. We will also focus on parts of speech, metaphors, similes and point of view. Some of our math topics include telling time to five minutes, arrays, partitioning shapes into halves and fourths and review of word problems. Team Work Second grade is all about working together to help each person be the best they can be! Our exciting study of markets is continuing in Social Studies! In Science, the children are very enthusiastic about learning about different kinds of animals! Our reading assessment and MAPS assessments begin this month too! It ll be a very busy time!
