CASPAR THE MUSICAL CASPAR is a musical with 20 scenes and 17 original songs. It is based on the life of Caspar Reinwardt, the founder of the botanical Garden in Bogor. Wrapped in an historical story the musical talks about nowadays changes of values, the struggle for power and the search for essential meaning which unites us all. CASPAR is a statement of Bhinneka tunggal ika" with songs, dances, dialogues and a cup of philosophy. Powerful, romantic, and always with a light humorous smile. The music evokes big emotions drifting between joy and sadness, powerful sounds, dreamy romance and dance rhythms. The scenes will accompany Caspar s way with strong pictures and glittering light. CASPAR aims to strengthen the original identity of Indonesia. It shows essential views of different Indonesian cultures from Jawa, Bali, Maluku and Sumatra. CASPAR want to bring with simple words the Pancasila into personal life. To show that Pancasila is more then only the state's declaration In Pancasila are written down the universal values of living together. For ourselves, for Indonesia and for the whole world. CASPAR the musical is a love declaration to a wonderful nation.
THE CAST Gabriel Harvianto (Caspar) an accomplished tenor, with various achievements including the runner up of DAC Indosiar will lead the main character Caspar through multifaceted developments till he gain back his lost soul. Keep on smiling Indonesia Gabriel Havianto Yasashi I Evelyn Yasashi I Evelyn (Kamala) a well tempered Mezzosoprano Yasashi is the new highlight at the sky of indonesians classical singer. She will portray a jawanese princess who helps Caspar to find the flower of kings. Itulah kita Fitri Muliati (Ibu Caspar) is a clear and powerful soprano. At the Resonaz music studio she is vocal coach. Full of love she tells her son Caspar in the song Ikutilah Cahaya to live his life in harmony. Fitri Muliati Heny Janawati Heny Janawati (Baroness) is a leading Balinese Mezzo Soprano. She founded Staccato, a school for vocal technique and performing arts. With the song Akulah Ratu Kebun Raya she set straight that she wants to rule this country. Rainier Revireino (Soleh Susilo) his deep and full sounded bass voice is his brand. In the role of prince Susilo he claims the right of the might on his own and swears to prevent a hostile take over by the dutch. Sumpah Susilo Rainier Revreino Eto Tagur Eto Tagur (Hasto) is a young lively and playful balinese singer. Hasto and Kulio are the cheerful assistants seeing always the happy side of life. CREATORS AND DIRECTORS Herman Josef (writer and producer) has been involved in hundreds of theater productions in Germany. Wishnu Dewanta (Composer and conductor) is the lead Composer, graduating from UPH, later on assistant conductor of Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra. Herman Josef Wishnu Dewanta Nathan Iskandar (Co - Composer and Musical director) also graduated from UPH. He lectured music composition and currently he works as advanced music theory instructor. Chendra Panatan (scenic director and choreographer) is an international awarded choreographer. He produced many operas and concerts in Indonesia and abroad. Nathan Iskandar Chendra Panatan Aditya Setiadi (artistical advisor and dramaturg) Master of Music at King's College London. Lecturer at the University of Indonesia. Constituted the teaching syllabus and curriculum for Liberal Arts Studies at the Faculty of Humanities. Aditya Setiadi
