Graduate Success. Timomatic - Music Graduate Tim Omaji, AKA Timomatic studied a Diploma of Music at JMC Academy. From the age of 10, he had a burning desire to become a musician and entertainer. At the JMC Academy Sydney campus launch, he was awarded for outstanding contribution to contemporary music performance. Thando Sikwila Music Graduate. From competing on The Voice Australia 2014 and working with Kylie Minogue to playing the lead role of Effie in the stage production Dreamgirls, Thando is making a huge name for herself with her gospel, R&B sound. Rob Murphy Film and Television Graduate Rob Murphy has had an amazing experience since graduating in 2012. Rob has worked on projects that include the WWI Gallipoli exhibition,the Great War exhibition curated by Peter Jackson and has worked on Christmas film, Krampus. Rob is now working as the Set Dress for television series, Arrow. Brenton Mortelliti - Audio Graduate Since graduating from Audio Engineering and Sound Production in 2011, Brenton Mortelliti has been working hard in the industry, now working as an Assistant Staging Manager at one of Melbourne s 5 star hotels through Staging Connections. National Employment Outcomes* 1 in 3 graduates find employment in a field relevant to their course degree. 65% of students find work within 8 weeks of completing their degree with 70% finding work within 15 weeks of graduation. 34% find full time employment while 39% choose to freelance or work contractually. 57% of positions were found as a result of direct networking, direct calling,internships or lecturer contacts. Chris Pickering Music and Songwriting Chris has played drums and guitar in well-known Australian groups before embarking on a solo career as a singer-songwriter. Since then he has recorded and released three full length albums and four EPs of critically acclaimed original material. In 2009 he relocated to Nashville, where he toured and performed all over the US and parts of Europe. Peter George Film and Television Peter s documentary Original Schtick won 2 AFI awards and the prestigious Rouben Mamoulian Award at the Sydney Film Festival. Both Original Schtick and William were invited to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and all of his films have travelled widely around the globe. In addition to filmmaking, Peter has also worked as a copywriter, a book editor, an industry consultant, an Advertising Account Executive and was the former Editor of IF Magazine. Rob Care Audio Engineering & Sound Production Rob has gained international success as an Audio Engineer, Remixer, Music Producer and Percussionist. As a producer, Rob has worked with Australian Award winning artists Katie Underwood, Kate Alexa and Anthony Callea. As an artist, his music has been signed to Vicious Recordings in Australia, Hed Kandi in the UK, Smooth Agent Records in Chicago and La Musique Fantastique in Spain. Rahul Nath Digital Design (Sydney) Leading the development and launch of the Bachelor of Design (Digital Design) course; Rahul is a cross-disciplinary designer with over 10 years experience working for huge manufacturing companies the likes of Toyota-Boshoku. Kim Edwards Animation and Games Kim has achieved international recognition for his Animation work. Having had two of his films screened at the Krok International Animation Festival - a revered animation festival that runs on a boat travelling through Russia and the Ukraine, his success has derived from his diligence taken to refine his craft. Kim specialises in short format animation, TVc s, motion graphics and experimental projects. Simon Smith Entertainment Business Management Simon s industry experience includes tour management and booking and promotion of live music venues, outdoor festivals and events. He has worked as a tour coordinator for two of Australia s largest booking agencies (Premier Artists and The Agency for the Performing Arts) before starting his own successful national management and booking agency MAGMUSIC.
