Overall BOMA was able to provide over 3,000 backpacks to children in need! Great job Signature Exchange!! You ve made a world of difference! 4.65 Total Tons of recycled materials have been processed from our location in July. You ve helped save the equivalent of 79 trees, 1,767 gallons of oil, 32,550 gallons of water, 19,065 Kilowatt hours of energy and 15 cubic yards of landfill space. Great job everyone! GrapeFest September 17, 18, 19 & 20, 2015 Discover a world of possibilities at the 29th Annual GrapeFest in Historic Downtown Grapevine. Guests will discover a variety of new wines, vendors, bands, and more throughout this 4 day event, the largest wine festival in the Southwest. GrapeFest Golf Classic This four person scramble is played on September 11 at the Grapevine Golf Course (3800 Fairway Drive, Grapevine, 76051). The Golf Classic includes driving range access, lunch, drawings and prize awards, a gift bag from the sponsors, and a wine and craft brew reception following the tournament for each golfing participant and a guest. All proceeds generated by the tournament benefit scholarships for students. Registration Fees: $125 individual, $450 teams of 4 for early registration. GrapeFest Tennis Classic Grab your racket and join the GrapeFest Tennis Tournament! This fun event for kids and adults alike will have multiple events over three days, September 18, 19 and 20. Entry fees include tournament participation, official GrapeFest Tennis Tournament t-shirt and admission into GrapeFest on September 18 and 19. The tournament will have both junior and adult events. The tournament also features Men's Open Doubles with $2,000 in prize money. Players can visit www.tnttennis.net for details on how to register. Junior Divisions (Boys and Girls) - September 19 and (if needed) 20 - Singles and Doubles - Registration fee is $28 per person/per event. Junior Division fees also include entry to a Carnival of Tennis at Dove Park on September 18 from 6-7:30pm. There will be prizes, pizza, fastest serve contest and more. Adult Divisions (Mixed) - September 19 and 20 - Singles and Doubles - Registration fee is $28 per person/per event. All adult players are invited to a private player's party to be held on September 19 from 7-8:30pm at the Back Porch restaurant on Main Street in Grapevine. Players will be treated to food, beverages and live music. Men s and Women s Open Doubles - September 19 and 20 at Grapevine High School - Registration fee is $50 per person. Champagne Cork Shoot-Off Participants in this annual GrapeFest tradition compete to see who can shoot a champagne cork the farthest. There is no entry fee and prizes are awarded for the top 3 distances. The fun takes place September 19 in the Cotton Belt Railroad District at 12:30pm. People's Choice Wine Tasting Classic Sample more than 150 wines from over 40 Texas wineries at the People's Choice Wine Tasting Classic. Guests receive a wine reference guide detailing the available wines along with a ballot to select their favorite. The winners of the competition will be announced on Sunday, September 20 at 5pm. Tickets are $23 per person. GrapeStomp Two-person teams create their own special "I Love Lucy" moment and take turns stomping approximately 18 pounds of grapes for two minutes. Teams that stomp the most juice are eligible to participate in the Grand Championship StompOff on Sunday, September 20 at 3pm. Winners will be awarded the coveted and sought-after "Purple Foot" award. GrapeStomp challenge entry fee is $5 per person (Does not include festival admission). GrapeStomp sessions occur every half hour at the following times: Sept. 17 (4-7:30pm), Sept. 18 (2-7:30pm), Sept. 19 (2-7:30pm), Sept. 20 (12-2:30pm). Special GrapeStomp events include the Senior GrapeStomp at 10:30am on Friday, September 18 and the Mayoral GrapeStomp on Saturday, September 19 at 11am. Children ages 13 and under can stomp for free. The GrapeStomp stage is located in the shadow of Grapevine City Hall and close to the Champagne Terrace. Carnival & Midway Want to enjoy the Carnival rides over and over? Then purchase an Unlimited Ride Pass, good for Thursday evening from 5pm - close. Unlimited Ride Passes can be purchased online until 11:59pm on Wednesday, September 16 for $25. Printed confirmation and ID must be presented at the Talley Amusements coupon booth at Wall Street and Jenkins Street to receive the Unlimited Ride Pass wrist band. Passes can be purchased for $30 at the festival on Thursday, September 17. Texas Wine Tribute The Texas Wine Tribute will be held on Saturday, September 12 in the Grand Hall and Tower Gallery at 636 S. Main St. in Grapevine. The reception and silent auction begins at 6:30pm. Tickets are $125 per person and advance purchase is required. GrapeFest ItalianCarFest presented by Boardwalk Ferrari Maserati Saturday, September 12, 10am-4pm at Nash Farm, 626 Ball St. More than 80 of the most beautiful Italian speedsters ever produced will be showcased. Some of the automobiles are valued at close to $500,000. Cars are positioned so that guests can walk completely around the car and interact with the car owners. Car fans of all ages will want to come see a variety of cars. Festival food and drinks will also be available for purchase, so bring the entire family! Hours & Ticket Pricing Event will open on Thursday, September 17 at 10am; admission is FREE to everyone all day Thursday and until 5pm on Friday! These will still be accepted as long as they are in circulation so even though AMC will not sell them anymore they are still going to be valid. Once we have to buy the AMC Green tickets they too will be valid on new releases (with a restriction on 3D and IMAX films)...however, they will have an additional restriction and no longer be valid on any Disney or Disney owned films! Here are some of the current movies a green ticket would not be valid on per the AMC website: Beginning August 1, 2015, the AMC Gold Ticket product will no longer be available for purchase and will be replaced with the NEW AMC Green Ticket. The AMC Green Ticket is valid for one admission to any movie except those distributed by The Walt Disney Company, including, but not limited to, Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm, Ltd. titles. State Fair of Texas Announces New Attractions for 2015 It s that time of year again the State Fair of Texas is back, bringing all your favorites, plus a few new additions too! Following a recordbreaking 2014 season, the Fair is kicking off its 24-day run with an all-star lineup of food, festivities and family fun. Celebrating 129 years of Lone Star tradition, the 2015 exposition is themed Passport to Texas and opens Friday, September 25 in historic Fair Park. Big Tex will be waiting to greet fairgoers with his signature, Howdy, folks! and ready for another round of Texas-sized fun. Fair food fanatics will love the newest addition to the Fair s list of daily discount programs Thrifty Thursdays. Through this initiative, participating food vendors are offering one of their signature menu items at a reduced price, ranging from mini versions to regular-size items. Perfect for fairgoers wanting just a tiny taste rather than a full-size meal, or families looking for new ways to save while still getting to enjoy their fair food favorites. Bringing a feeling of Texas pride to the Pan Am Arena, the allnew Lone Star Horse Spectacular joins the Fair s collection of crowd-pleasing shows. Themed to traditional Texas music, the event features professional riders on horseback, performing in coordination with the historical narrative. Fairgoers will be blown away by the new and improved Mattress Firm Illumination Sensation. Set along a scenic reflecting pool, this nightly celebration has been completely remastered wowing the crowd with dancing waters and twice the pyro than ever before. A unique and breathtaking event, the show combines fireworks and high-energy pop music with engaging dance performances. This sensational 16-minute production of synchronized pyrotechnics and special effects begins nightly at 8pm along the Esplanade. Leading up to the after-dark extravaganza, the ZuZu African Acrobats will provide daily performances on the all-new Mattress Firm Stage on the Esplanade. With a new name and new location, these talented performers show off their amazing acrobatic skills and take the limbo to a whole new level. After its successful run in 2014, Canstruction will return as one of the Fair s featured exhibits, where all structures will be created in line with this year s State Fair theme, Passport to Texas. At the end of the competition, all canned food will be donated to the North Texas and Tarrant Area Food Banks. In addition, the State Fair is once again partnering with Kroger and the North Texas Food Bank to present It s A Fair Deal Wednesdays, offering discounted admission every Wednesday throughout the run of the Fair. Visitors can bring four cans of food and get in for just $4, with all donations going directly to support local families in need. In addition to the 85 free concerts on the Chevrolet Main Stage, the Fair is adding even more new music to the 2015 lineup! The Fair s other stages include the Bud Light Sound Stage in Cotton Bowl Plaza and the Dr Pepper Stage located behind the Creative Arts building. For the first time ever, these stages will feature rotating regional acts throughout the length of the Fair. Making its State Fair of Texas debut this year, Beer Haven is touted as the world s largest bar on wheels a 53-foot-long truck serving a wide variety of craft beers on tap. Throughout the run of the Fair, this mobile brewery will feature 60 different beers on tap every day, including a special collection of fair-themed brews like a cotton candy-flavored ale. Lager lovers can take their tasting experience even further by attending a Texas craft beer festival, an all-new event hosted in the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium the final weekend of the Fair.
