Emphasis is placed on understanding grammatical elements and acquiring communication skills in both writing and speaking. Approximately 170 additional KANJI characters will be learned. In Japanese 2011, the development of creative writing and presentation is also emphasized. Various aspects of Japanese culture will continue to be discussed through films/tv dramas, music, fine arts and so on. As well, newspaper/magazine articles will be examined. MATERIAL 1.
