THINGS TO REMEMBER FOR AN EASY MOVE! Consider the Weather Plan ahead! The consistent thing about the weather in Illinois corn country is that it can change by the minute. Check your weather apps and bring your rain poncho, just in case. Trust us! We ve done this before. Parking at Hendrick House There is no long-term parking at Hendrick House on move-in day. Students who have purchased a parking space for the year may begin to use that space at 5pm on August 24th. Auxiliary parking is available on Florida Ave and shuttles are provided by the University. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed. Packing & Delivery To facilitate our move-in process and the delivery of your belongings to your room, please place your last name and room number on your boxes and suitcases like this: SMITH Room 314. Delivery of items is handled by Hendrick Haulers only and they control the elevators during move-in hours, 10am-5pm. Stairs are available and anyone with mobility challenges may be assisted by staff. Be Safe! Listen Up! Move-in Day is a stressful time for just about everyone. That s why it s important to take your time and to follow the rules of the road (and the rules regarding movein) in order to make sure that everyone is able to make it through the day. If there is an issue, please raise it with our staff. We would appreciate the opportunity to make your move-in as safe and easy as possible. You pack. We lift. We deliver. You rest.
