He develoed his musical studies at the School o Music Conservatory in the class o organ (Simões da Hora and Rui aiva). He continued, hoever, studies in singing ith Manuela de Sá, chamber music ith ernando Eldoro, and comosition ith Jorge eixinho and Eurico Carraatoso. He attended the international course in choral conducting rom the Lleidatà Oreo (Catalan) - hit Laszlo Haltay Erin List and Montserrat Rios - and also training courses or teachers o analysis and comosition romoted by the «Gabinete de Educação Tecnológica, Artística e roissional» (ortugal). These studies ere accomanied by exeriments in the ield o vocal music: regular articiation in the National Conservatory's Choir under the direction o Maestro ernando Eldoro, but also other vocal music rojects ith aulo Brandão and Teresita Marques.
