With a number of big tours coming with multiple bands, this is the biggest season for the Sandy Amphitheater. Concert information is online at www.sandyarts.com/amph. National Acts Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand, June 7- This five-man band, hailing from Salt Lake City is a breath of fresh air in an age where much of the music is over produced. Rhonda Vincent, June 15- The Wall Street Journal has proclaimed Rhonda Vincent the new queen of Bluegrass. Vincent, along with her band The Rage, is the most awarded band in Bluegrass music with multiple Grammy nominations, 5 Entertainer of the Year and 7 Female Vocalist of the Year awards from the Bluegrass Music Association. Rockapella Motown and More, June 21- Rockapella s latest show Motown and More pays tribute to the music of Motown with unique versions of songs from The Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations and more. Rockapella is the finest acapella group touring today. Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, July 3- Pat Benatar was one of the first female rock singers to hit the airwaves back in 1979 when she recorded her first album, In the Heat of the Night. Husband Neil Giraldo is an accomplished guitarist and songwriter and also a prolific producer. Giraldo has produced all of Benatar s albums as well as many other artists.

3-5 Sandy Amphitheater 2013 Season Sail Rock Tour, with Christopher Cross, Orleans, Gary Wright, Firefall, John Ford Coley, Robbie Dupree & Player, Aug. 21- This is the best of the 70s with the original bands. Sailing, Arthur s Theme, Still the One, Dance with Me, Dream Weaver, Love is Alive, You Are the Woman, Cinderella, I d Really Love to See You Tonight, Nights are Forever Without You and many more. Rockin The Decades, with the Salamanders, Sept. 6- This show features amazing musicians, vocalists, costumes, and choreography. Travel through time with hits from each decade of music, ending your journey with today s top hits. Charley Jenkins, Sept. 9- Jenkins was a top 12 finalist on NBC s hit show, Nashville Star. He has opened for such acts as Lady Antebellum, Allan Jackson, Lean Rymes and others. With three albums and personal twists on new and old hits, Charley puts on one heck of a show. Chris Isaak, Aug. 30- Chris Isaak's music is unmistakable and is inspired by the likes of Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis. Isaak s newest album, "Beyond the Sun", is one he has always wanted to make and is available in both the standard set as well as a double album version. Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Sept. 13- The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rhythm section from the legendary Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) launched Creedence Clearwater Revisited to perform live their hits, which are touchstones of a generation. Creedence Clearwater Revisited now perform up to 100 shows a year. Fry Sauce Local Music Series In Utah, the local music scene is thriving with original bands like Neon Trees and Imagine Dragons. With our new Fry Sauce series we will be showcasing new original Utah bands before they hit the big time. There are two bands per concert. King Niko and Hang Time, June 8- King Niko is Salt Lake City Weekly s Band of the Year. The high-energy, fist pumping, foot stomping power of King Niko s live shows have earned them a spot on the stage with other top acts. Hang Time has created their own sound that combines classic four-piece band instrumentation with heavy synth and keyboard.

4-5 Sandy Amphitheater 2013 Season New Electric Sound and The North Valley, July 13- New Electric Sound has a sound that falls between today s music and an older era. You will swear that you ve heard their catchy songs before, but you will find that you never have. Just try getting their songs out of your head. The North Valley is a young but ambitious quintet from Salt Lake City. The band formed in late 2011 but had already found a welcome place in SLC s music scene. Golden Sun and Polytype, Aug. 24 Golden Sun is from Salt Lake City and has released two self-produced EPs, Wine Country and Golden Sun. Their approach to musical creation lends itself to listener response in both recording and live performances. Polytype is an indie/electronic band from Provo. The band s first CD, Basic//Complex was released in February of this year. Polytype Strives to create an immersive experience for the participant. The Souvenirs and The Hollering Pines, Sept. 7- The Souvenirs bring life to a style of country music all its own. These sisters draw you in with harmony-laden lyrics reminiscent of an earlier era. The Hollering Pines bring their brand of Americana drawing on the strength of a tube-driven radio signal, parting a sea of static, bouncing off heaven and back to earth. Sandy Arts Guild Musical Thoroughly Modern Millie, Aug. 9-17- This is a zany new 1920 s musical that has taken Broadway by storm, winning the Tony Award for Best Musical. Taking place in New York City in 1922, this musical tells the story of Millie Dillmount who has just moved to the city in search of a new life. It s a New York full of intrigue, jazz music, flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady of a villainess. Not performed on Sunday, Aug 11. Free-For-All concerts A series of free concerts are held on various nights throughout the summer with no tickets required. Come early for the best seat. American West Symphony, June 26 Sandy s own community orchestra, American West Symphony comes to the Amphitheater for its annual summer Pops Concert. Bring the whole family and enjoy an evening of great music under the stars.

International Folk Festival, Aug. 28 The international folk festival brings local folk groups from across Utah to perform dances and music from countries around the world. Grab your family and friends and come travel the globe at the Sandy Amphitheater. Silent Movie Night, Sept. 11 This was such a big hit last year that we re bringing it back! Come see classic silent movies set to live organ music by the remarkable talents of Blaine Gale, who sets the perfect mood for these film treasures. The movies will be shown on our huge 40-foot screen and will start at dusk.
