Pitch-Rudder Mixing (Revo) Step 12. Gyro Mixing (Gyro) Step 13. Swash to throttle mixing (SW-T) This programming guide assumes that you have already: 1) read the Kinetic TM 50 instruction manual, and 2) set up linkages and installed the receiver, gyro and servos. If you haven't done these things already, please do so before proceeding further. Proper set-up of linkages and servo arms is crucial to accurate performance in-flight. This guide also assumes that you have already read your 6EX-2.4GHz FASST system's operating instructions and become familiar with the radio's operation. A copy of the manual is available online at: http://manuals.hobbico.com/fut/6ex-2_4ghz-manual.pdf Also, please note that these are basic settings designed for new pilots using a Futaba 6EX-2.4GHz radio and Futaba servos. They can also be used as a general guide, but may not produce optimum results when used with other brands of radio equipment. For advanced settings, please refer to the Kinetic 50 instruction manual. Preliminary Radio Setup Transmitter set-up includes using the model reset, selecting HELI mode, and selecting which model memory will be used. If these steps have not been done, please take the time to do them now. If you are not familiar with how to perform these steps, please refer to pages 14-16 of the 6EX-2.4GHz manual. A copy of the manual is available online at: http://manuals.hobbico.com/fut/6ex-2_4ghzmanual.pdf

Page 2 of 8 Home Screen Each step in this guide starts from the home screen. The home screen is the first one you see when you turn on your transmitter. It looks like this - before you name your model. Step 1. Swashplate Type (SWSH) you reach the Swashplate screen (SWSH). No action required. The 6EX-2.4GHz is factory-set at "1-S". The reading should already be on-screen and blinking. Step 2. Servo Reversing (REVR) Press the "MODE" and "SELECT" keys simultaneously to open the menu. Press the "MODE" key to advance to the Model screen (MDL). Press the "MODE" key again to reach the Servo Reversing screen (REVR).

Page 3 of 8 The number "1" will be flashing. This stands for Channel 1. Channels 1 and 2 should already be in "NORMAL" position. The servo on Channel 3, however, should be reversed. To reach Channel 3, press the "SELECT" button twice. Reverse the servo by pressing the Data Input Lever down (-) once. Press the "SELECT" button again to reach Channel 4, and use the Data Input Lever to reverse that servo. Press "SELECT" to advance past Channels 5 and 6. These should already be in the "NORMAL" position. Return to the Home screen by pressing the "MODE" and "SELECT" simultaneously. Step 3. Dual-Rate (D/R) and Exponential (EXPO) Settings Press the "MODE" and "SELECT" keys simultaneously. Press the "MODE" button until you reach the Dual-Rate screen (D/R), which is the screen after the Servo Reversing screen. Dual rates on the 6EX-2.4GHz are factory-preset at 100% for Channels 1, 2 and 4. Dual rates on Channels 3, 5 and 6 are not adjustable. Press the "SELECT" key until you reach Channel 4. Press it once more to reach the Exponential screen (EXPO). Press the Data Input Lever down (-) until the setting for Channel 1 is "-30." Now flip the dual rate switch to the other position and use the same method as above to set the expo "-30" for this rate. This step will assure that there is expo programmed on both rates which could prevent problems if the dual rate switch is inadvertently placed on the wrong position during flight. Press the "SELECT" Key to switch to Channel 2. Press the Data Input Lever down (-) until the setting is

Page 4 of 8 "-30." Now flip the dual rate switch to the other position and use the same method as above to set the expo "-30" for this rate. Press the "SELECT" key until you reach Channel 4. Set Channel 4 to "-30" with the Data Input Lever. Now flip the dual rate switch to the other position and use the same method as above to set the expo "- 30" for this rate. Press the "SELECT" key again to return to the Dual-Rate screen (D/R). Press the "MODE" and "SELECT" keys at the same time to return to the Home screen. Step 4. End Point Adjustment (EPA) Press the "MODE" and "SELECT" keys simultaneously to open the menu. Press the "MODE" button until you reach the End Point Adjustment screen (EPA). Only Channels 1, 2 and 3 need to be programmed. Channels 4, 5 and 6 should stay at the factory setting (100%). To program Channel 1 (Left and Right Cyclic Control), first push the right stick to the right. Press the Data Input Lever up (+) and hold it until the screen reads "110%." Then, push the right stick all the way to the left. Again, press the Data Input Lever up (+) and hold, until the screen reads "110%." Press the "SELECT" key to advance to Channel 2 (Fore and Aft Cyclic Control). Hold the right stick down. Press the Data Input Lever up (+) and hold it until the screen reads "110%." Then, push the right stick up. Again, press the Data Input Lever up (+) and hold it until the screen reads "110%." Press the "SELECT" key to advance to Channel 3 (Throttle End Points). Hold the throttle (left) stick down. Press the Data Input Lever down (-) and hold it until the screen reads "90%." Push the throttle stick up (forward). The reading will change from "90%" to "100%" as soon as you pass the center point. Step 5. Trim This program does not require set-up at this time. Step 6. Normal Throttle Curve Function (N-TH) Press the "MODE" and "SELECT" keys simultaneously to open the menu. Press the "MODE" key until you reach the Normal Throttle Curve Function screen (N-TH).

Page 5 of 8 This function is programmed at the factory, and the factory settings are ideal for the Kinetic 50. Press the "SELECT" key and scroll through all five throttle curve settings. The settings should read: 1-0% 2-25% 3-50% 4-75% 5-100% If any point on the curve needs to be reset, press the "SELECT" key to reach the curve point and push the Data Input Lever up (+) or down (-) until the value on the screen matches the curve setting shown above. Press the "MODE" and "SELECT" keys at the same time and return to the Home screen. For advanced settings, see the Kinetic 50 instruction manual. Step 7. Normal Pitch Curve Function (N-PI) you reach the Normal Pitch Curve Function screen (N-PI). The first screen you'll see is for Point 1. The "%" sign should be blinking. To program each point, press the Data Input Lever up (+) until you reach the required setting. To advance to the screen for the next point, press the "SELECT" key. Point 1 - set at "25%." Point 2 - set at "50%." Point 3 - set at "65%." Point 4 - set at "82%." Point 5 - should already be set at "100%." For advanced settings, see the Kinetic 50 instruction manual. Step 8. Idle Up Throttle Curve (I-TH) Press the "MODE" and "SELECT" keys simultaneously to open the menu. Press the "MODE" key until
