INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR WOODWIND AND BRASS INSTRUMENTAL SOLOISTS VENTUS MUSICALE 1. Goals and objectives 1.1. The goal of the competition to raise the artistic level of woodwind and brass instrumental performance. 1.2. The objectives of the competition: 1.3. To nourish the traditions and culture of wind instrumental playing in children and young players; 1.4. To develop soloistic playing, creativity and artistic values in students of music schools; 1.5. To encourage communication, interaction and exchange of ideas and experiences between students and teachers of various musical schools, nationalities and locations. 2. Prime information 2.1. The Competition is organised and hosted by the Vilnius Balys Dvarionas Ten-year Music School (pub. org. Muzikos takas ), T. Kosciuškos g. 13, LT-01100 Vilnius, Lithuania. 2.2. The Competition will be held on March 29-30 th 2019. 3. Conditions of participation 3.1. Students of informal music, art and general education school programmes from Lithuania and other countries are invited to participate at the Competition. 3.2. Participants are divided into groups: up to 10 years of age programme limited to 7 minutes from 10 to 12 years of age programme limited to 10 minutes from 13 to 15 years of age programme limited to 12 minutes from 16 to 19 years of age programme limited to 15 minutes 3.3. The participants are required to perform two pieces: a required set piece and a contrasting piece of choice (different style, epoch and/or character).
3.4. The participants are required to perform from memory. 3.5. 4. Applications and fees 4.1. The application fee is 20 Eur. 4.2. The application fee is to be transferred to the account of the pub. org. By applying to the Competition the participant agrees that any image (in full or part, photo or video form), as well as their personal information (name(s), class, group, placement in the competition) of the participant may be publicised and/or broadcast and used in any form, i.e. websites, social media, public stands, publications (informational brochures, newspapers, books, articles, video journals and films etc.). 4.5. The costs of attending the Competition are to be covered by the participants. 4.6. The schedule of the Competition and rehearsals will be announced on March 18 th 2019. 5. Conditions of the jury and awards 5.1. The jury of the Competition is chosen by the organisational committee. The decisions of the jury are final and non-appealable. All performances are public. 5.2. All participants will be issued a certificate of participation. 5.3 The winners will be awarded diplomas and laureate diplomas as well as special prizes.
