ULS Move to the Music 6PP copy.pdf 1 22/08/2018 11:22 MOVE TO THE MUSIC MADE POSSIBLE BY OUR CORPORATE SUPPORTER JTI SEPTEMBER 2018 MAY 2019 FREE CONCERTS AND FREE TRAVEL! Our award-winning Move to the Music scheme helps older people who are isolated or lonely to more easily access live orchestral music.

ULS Move to the Music 6PP copy.pdf 2 22/08/2018 11:22 ENJOY LISTENING TO MUSIC? OVER 65? LIVING ALONE OR FEELING LONELY? HAVE TROUBLE GETTING OUT AND ABOUT? MOVE TO THE MUSIC COULD BE FOR YOU! Our award-winning Move to the Music scheme provides free tickets to selected Ulster Orchestra concerts throughout the season along with bus transport from your home, concert programmes and a free hot drink as well! This year we are offering older people over 65 the opportunity to enjoy a more diverse range of concerts across Northern Ireland and to meet musicians from the Ulster Orchestra in pre-concert engagement events to make the experience even more pleasurable and fun! We are also working in partnership with Age NI to help deliver Move to the Music. Feedback from our older patrons who have taken part in Move to the Music has been extremely positive they enjoy seeing each other and making new friends at the Orchestra concerts as well as appreciating the music; many cite the Move to the Music evening as some of the only social events they are able to get out to. And, since you are picked up directly from home and brought back there afterwards, you don t have to worry about getting to and from the concert. Plus it costs you nothing to attend, thanks to the generous support of our corporate partner JTI. PRE-CONCERT ENGAGEMENT SESSION There will be an exciting new opportunity for Move to the Music participants to take part in a pre-concert engagement session with musicians from the Ulster Orchestra. This will probably be mid-morning time and will last one hour. Dates and venues to be confirmed nearer the time.

ULS Move to the Music 6PP copy.pdf 6 22/08/2018 11:23 MTTM is always a lovely night out and meeting people from other parts of NI is very good, it is always very enjoyable and the music is wonderful. Think it is a wonderful experience for many Seniors living alone in rural areas who cannot drive to the venues. Something to look forward to in the darker evening and being transported safely to and from home is extremely appreciated. Some also make new friends who they can then meet with for fellowship at other times and helps keep many connected to life outside four walls.
