As a community-building event, FMX invites professionals and students across the Animation, Effects, VR, Games and Transmedia industries from all over the world to come together in Stuttgart to discuss ideas, present new innovations and come up with exciting collaborations. Together with the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) and the Animation Production Day (APD), FMX transforms Stuttgart into a buzzing hub for every form of digital entertainment, from its original idea to distribution. FMX is made up of various parts. There is the Conference section with presentations, panel discussions and screenings, and the Forum section with its various Workshops and Company Suites, the Marketplace, Recruiting Hub, School Campus, and a dedicated VR Space. The FMX program is shaped and curated by outstanding industry experts such as Dave Gouge, Head of Marketing & Communications at Weta Digital, Victoria Alonso, Executive Vice President of Physical Production at Marvel Studios, as well as Paul Debevec, Associate Director of Graphics Research at the USC s Institute for Creative Technologies and recently appointed Adjunct Research Professor on the Google VR team. The FMX venues are at the heart of Stuttgart. Their intimate settings allow you to reach out to your community on a personal and interactive level. Workshops Workshops constitute an important part of the conference program. Recruiting The Recruiting Hub is the international job fair at FMX where animation, VFX and games studios, production companies and agencies connect with a large crowd of aspiring creative talents.
