Application for Beekeeping Permit City of Stevens Point, WI I have read Wisconsin Statute 94.76 and Wisconsin Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection ATCP Chapter 21.13 regarding beekeeping and transportation of bees. I have read, and I understand the conditions under which I may keep bees. I agree to abide by these conditions, which are as follows: 1. No more than four (4) hives may be kept on a residential lot. 2. No hive shall exceed twenty (20) cubic feet in volume. 3. No hive shall be located closer than three (3) feet from any property line. 4. No hive shall be located closer than ten (10) feet from a public sidewalk or twenty-five (25) feet from a principal building on an abutting lot. 5. A constant supply of water shall be provided for all hives. 6. A flyway barrier at least six (6) feet in height shall shield any part of a property line that is within twenty-five (25) feet of a hive. The flyway barrier shall consist of a wall, fence, dense vegetation or a combination thereof and it shall be positioned to transect both legs of a triangle extending from an apex at the hive to each end point of the part of the property line to be shielded. 7. The applicant for the license notifies all residents of the property and the owner or operator of the property if the applicant is not the owner or operator. 8. Pay the permit fee of $10.00. I understand that my permit may be revoked by affirmative vote of the Common Council at any time upon application by the Neighborhood Services Officer and a showing that I have been in violation of one of more of the provisions of any city ordinances related to the keeping of bees. A written description and drawings of the proposed location of the hive(s) and the placement on the applicant s property are attached.
