Story Once upon a time, a bat was hanging in his cave. A snake slithered by. The two animals talked about all the rain they had gotten lately. They were sad that they could not go outside. They decided to play with jacks inside bat s cave to pass the time. After playing with jacks, the two animals got bored. They wanted to go on an adventure. Snake showed bat a treasure map he found. They decided to follow the map. They followed the map. It led them outside in the rain. They walked past snake s home. They walked past a giant cactus. They walked along the train tracks. Finally, they were standing in front of a giant crane. The crane operator lifted the snake and bat up in the crane. When they reached the top of a building they saw a bag. Inside the bag, they saw a brand new skateboard. The skateboard was such a treasure to the two friends. They had become so bored with the rain, and this gave them something new to do. Bat and snake skated home. When they reached bat s cave they were tired. They took a picture to remember the day, hung it in a frame, and went to bed.

Setting: At the Beach Play Tom: Look a crab!! Mary: Where? I didn t see it, I was looking in my bag for something. Tom: It was right over there next to our beach mat. Mary: I hope I see it again. Tom: Me too. I ll take a picture of it. Mary: That would be cool. I can hang it in my new picture frame. Tom: Look, there it is again. Mary: I see it! I see it! Quick, grab your camera. Tom: (taking a picture) It s hard to take a picture, it is moving so fast. Mary: It kind of moves like a snake. Tom: You re right. A kid walks by Kid: What are you guys looking at? Tom and Mary: A crab, look over there. Kid: Neat! Hey, do you want to play jacks with me? Tom and Mary: Sure. Kid: Okay let s go. Do you have skates? We can skate to my house. Mary: I do, but Tom doesn t. Can we just walk? Do we need a map to get ther Kid: We can walk. I know how to get there. We don t need a map. At the kid s house Tom: I like your baseball bat. Maybe we can play baseball after jacks. Narrator: The kids play jacks and then go outside to play baseball. The End
