Table fun Screen-free, table time is good for your family. To help you enjoy more time at the table we have put together some game ideas, conversation starters and knock-knock jokes. Game ideas Movie quote hangman It is like normal hangman, except all the phrases have to be quotes from movies? Guess the famous person Each person chooses to be a famous person and everyone else asks them questions to guess who they are. The person can only answer with, yes or no. For example: 1st person: Are you a boy? 2nd person: No. 3rd person: Are you singer? 2nd person: Yes. A day in review Each person takes turns talking about their day, but first picks a letter that is off limits. Words beginning with that letter may not be used when describing the day. The words used for substitution can make these tales an entertaining vocabulary exercise. Make sure each family member gets a chance to talk. Word morphing Each person has to find a new word by changing ONE letter. Words can not be repeated. For example: 1st person: Toe 2nd person: Tone 3rd person: Stone 4th person: Stole 5th person: Stale Movie and TV names The first person says the name of a show. The next person has to say a show whose first name starts with the last letter of the previous show. Names can not be repeated. Conversation starters Print these out, cut them up and place one at each plate. If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Is it easier to kick a soccer ball or a football? If you could paint your room, what colour would it be? If you could have one dream come true, what would it be? Where would you fly if you had wings? What is your favourite family tradition? If you had a shipping container, what would you turn it into? If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Conversation starters Print these out, cut them up and place one at each plate. Choose a new word from the dictionary and find a way to use it in a sentence. If you could pick your own name what would it be? If you had $100 to spend on anything, what would you buy? What was the funniest thing you saw on YouTube this week? If you had one wish what would you wish for and why? What was your favourite gift you ever received? If there was a fight between Batman and Superman who would win and why? If you could be an animal, what would you choose?
