Students are measured in December. Bills are handed out the first lesson in January. Payment is due the second lesson in January. Those in need may apply for the Costume Fairy to purchase your child s costume. See PAC office. RECITAL SOUVENIR ORDERS Recital T-shirts with Cast list on back. Recital Program at half price! One program includes all five shows. Programs also available at recital. Recital DVD s at a discounted price! Packets will be handed out in class & emailed. Orders are due in April. You may also purchase Personal or Business Ads in the program. These are also due in April. Programs & DVD s may be purchased & ordered at the Recital for the full price. Various bouquets of flowers are sold at the recital.

IS MY CHILD IN EVERY SHOW? WHEN WILL I KNOW WHICH SHOW? Show announcement will be made in February so you will know which show(s) your child will perform. Pre-school through Intermediate 4 levels perform their dances in one show only. Exceptions to this are Accelerated Ballet (every show), Accelerated Tap (two shows), Pointe (two or three shows), Partnering, Men s Ballet, Hip Hop, Int/Adv Acrobatics and the PAC Traditional Finale. Ticket Sale Information will be sent in March. TICKET SALES WHEN DO TICKETS GO ON SALE? Recital tickets are sold in May through Tutu Tix, online, or by phone. You will be able to view the seating chart and select your seats. There is a VIP Sale Date for Graduating Seniors and PAC Staff. Although we do not recommend waiting, tickets may be available at the door. Some shows did sell out last year! DOES MY DANCER NEED A TICKET? Yes, if they are going to be in the audience. Dancers in one or two numbers may sit in the audience providing they have a ticket. Each show is divided into three Acts. Dancers should remain in the dressing room for the entire act in which they perform. Dancers in more than one dance are scheduled in different acts to allow you time to change their costume. Dancers in three or more dances should not be in the audience. Remember, no costumes in the audience!

DRESS REHEARSAL AT PAC Dress Rehearsal dates are Friday, June 8 Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Please mark these dates on your calendar. Your exact time and date will be announced in May. Attendance at dress rehearsal is mandatory. Arrive 30 minutes prior to your rehearsal time to get your dancer dressed, touch up hair & makeup and line up with your class. You will be there a little over one hour for one dance. Class proceeds to the photo room for the class photo. No parents in the photo room during class photos. No cameras in the photo room ever. Dancers have individual pictures taken at your convenience, either before or after they rehearse. Plan time accordingly. Each class has 20 minutes to walk through their spacing, perform their number twice and show you their picture pose. You may take photos & videos at dress rehearsal! Adults only may sit in the chairs during their child s dance; then please clear for the next group of parents. DRESS REHEARSAL IS AT PAC, NOT PATTONVILLE! RECITAL PHOTOS AND DVDs THE SWEDISH FACTORY will be taking professional group and individual photos at PAC during Dress Rehearsal. Order forms will be available at Dress Rehearsal. Photos will be ready for pick-up at Recital in the lobby. BROOKSTONE VIDEO films the PAC recital in Hi-Def! You may order one or two numbers from any show or entire shows! DVD discounted rate in the Souvenir Packages (pre-orders only). DVD Forms are available at Dress Rehearsal & Recital. DVD s are mailed to you in August.

PACKING YOUR COSTUMES PAC provides a clear garment bag for each costume. A Ziploc bag includes a checklist showing all pieces of costume and accessories. Keep accessories in the Ziploc bag as well so you have everything you need in one place. Costumes with a tutu should be hung upside down to keep tutu fluffy. PUT YOUR NAME ON EVERYTHING! All costume pieces, tights, shoes, garment bag, dance bag, makeup bag, curling iron, etc. WHY DO WE NEED TO WEAR MAKEUP? The stage lights wash out features. Stage Makeup is worn to enhance facial features so the audience can see your child s expressions! Stage Makeup Kits may be ordered through PAC. Beginners wear less makeup than Intermediate dancers; no false eyelashes for beginners. A darker berry shade of lipstick is worn rather than a true red which is too harsh. BEGINNER DRESSING/BABYSITTING ROOM This dressing room for Beginner & Adv Beg students is downstairs with access by stairs or elevator. A babysitter will be in this room throughout the performance playing movies & reading books but will not dress your child. Mothers are welcome in this dressing room! There is no need to run right out of the audience after your child s performance. It s acceptable to wait until intermission. Just let your child know when to expect you. BOYS DRESSING ROOM Boys have their own dressing room. All boys are Stage Left Gypsy Camp style! You must provide your own garment racks. We are looking for a small room for Boys age 6 & under to dress. Then they should be taken to the Beginner Dressing Room after they are dressed to wait with their class. We request one Dad per show to supervise the younger boys. No other parents allowed backstage or in the boys dressing area. AB4 TO ADVANCED DRESSING ROOM AB-4 to Int/Adv dancers Stage Right; Advanced dancers are Stage Left. There is a Green Room (open space) and a dressing room to each side. Usually AB-4, Int 1, 2 & 3 are to the left; Int 4 & Int/Adv to the right. Look for signs. Please respect your fellow dancers by conserving space, hanging up your costumes, keeping your shoes & tights in your own area, etc. You must provide your own garment rack. If you need your parent to dress you, choose the beginner room DOWNSTAIRS. Miss Dyane, Miss Brittany, Miss Monica & Miss Sophie will be backstage for quick changes. No parents or visitors in Int - Adv dressing room.

RECITAL ETIQUETTE The following guideline is to help enhance your recital experience and that of those around you. Please arrive in time to be seated when the show starts. Our shows start on time. J Remain seated while performers are on stage. Hold conversations for intermissions. Children need their own seat rather than sitting on your lap and blocking the view of those behind you. Silence cell phones & turn off any hand-held games. No flash photography please. No video recording of any kind. The show runs about three hours with two ten-minute intermissions. We encourage everyone to stay for the whole show so the last performers get the same applause as the first! The DANCE CO. of St. Charles will sell flowers in the lobby. Every performer loves to receive flowers!
