Label Profile: Showing alternatives to nowadays psy-trance scene, Suntrip mainly focuses on melodic psychedelic trance. Any other original ideas, like morning progressive, ambient, ethnic are welcome too. History: The label Suntrip Records was set up in the summer of 2004 by Fabien Mars, one of the founders of the Psynews.org website and Joske Anoebis, a Belgian DJ and Party-organiser. They met for the first time in 2000, for a party, and since then they gather regularly, sharing the same love for melodic psychedelic trance. Because during the last three years "full on" and dark releases were getting more and more stereotyped, they started talking about creating a label, so as to release more melodic psy-trance like in the good old times, but with modern production. The result was the debut album of Jannis Filteria in November 2004, later, in June 2005 the second release was a compilation called Apsara which was a mixture of famous melodic Goa trance producers and new talents. In October 2005 the third release showed the debut of the French artist Khetzal, known from numerous releases on labels as Ultimae Records and others. He gave us a great mixture of downtempo and uptempo spiritual and floating melodic Goa Trance. April 2006 was a turning point, the proof Suntrip isn t only about positive melodic music : the Ka-Sol album is both dark and twisted A much harder release, but still very psychedelic and dancefloor friendly. We would describe it as Forest Trance. For 2007 they will go back to their roots, more melodic Goa Trance that means! First with a compilation and later an album of trance veteran Ra! The perfect morning stomper - Aerosis will bring you in a deep trance with a floating trance track that is so subtle that only the full 9 minutes will make you understand this heavenly track! - Red Gravity starts the more twisted part of the compilation, fast twirling melodies, acid 303 s all around, and a massive break.
