The story is told using rod puppets combined with traditional storytelling, music, movement and strong character acting. Is the show suitable for children under 3 years? The show is designed for children aged 3+ and their families. We recommend children over 3 years as younger children may lose interest during a performance of this length. Our adaptation stays fairly faithful to the original story, and is a good old-fashioned celebration of a classic fairy tale. With two starving children being sent out into the woods in search of food and a better life they come across a flamboyant and equally hungry witch in her house. Our show will be framed by a narrator, Wilf, who conjures up the story from the safety of his wonderful, home-made wood.

ABOUT Norwich Puppet Theatre One of only a handful of dedicated puppet theatres in England, Norwich Puppet Theatre is a hub for leading international puppeteers and theatre makers. The Brothers Grimm stories are still some of the most well known tales today and have continued to be resilient and popular all around the world. The Team Goody and Storey Conceived and Created by Jonathan Storey & Seonaid Goody Goody and Storey have been creating fabulous puppet-based theatre since 2009. Their shows include Jack Pratchard - winner of the 2012 Arlyn Award for Outstanding Design in Puppet Theatre, STAR coproduced with mac Birmingham, as well as My Mother is a Fish, Play On Your Own, and Me.
