BIG FISH is a new Broadway musical featuring music and lyrics by Tony nominee Andrew Lippa (The Addams Family, The Wild Party) and a new book by esteemed screenwriter John August (Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). and Brandon Pearson) as they adapt from the bliss of their honeymoon to the limitations of marriage. To survive, the couple must navigate each other s different personalities Corie a free spirit, Paul a practical lawyer in the top floor apartment of a defunct brownstone in New York City. Their new life has a lot in store for them, including a seemingly endless flight of stairs to their front door, a broken skylight letting in city wind and an age-delirious eccentric neighbor by the name of Victor Velasco (Ed Huckabee). Add in Corie's overly cautious mother Ethel Banks Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, BIG FISH centers on Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest and then some! Edward's incredible, largerthan-life stories thrill everyone around him most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his fat h e r s e p i c t a l e s. Overflowing with heart, humor and spectacular stagecraft, BIG FISH is an extraordinary new Broadway musical that reminds (Kimberly Jones) and the Bratters are put into extreme (and extremely funny) circumstances where they must learn to live with each other s quirks, one zany situation after another, if they want happily ever after to last more than a week.
