Onkar Verma How can you do this to me? Is this not enough to die for someone? I thought you would be mine after ending my life. Aryan?? Aryan?? Knock knock on the door. Open the door, baby. Aryan just woke up another incomplete dream, Her voice again in my dream. Aryan thought about the voice he heard in his dream, he took a deep breath and thought, Why am I tensed while I love her so much her voice can never scare me. He moved to his study table and opened second drawer, picked a passport size photograph of a girl. Isn t it too small to keep in a big size drawer alone? Aryan held that photo on his palm and kept staring at it. Aryan: Hmmmm you are beautiful, more than any man s imagination of a beautiful girl. You can never be scary for me. You can never harm me. I love you I love you. Suddenly, the same voice came again to stop him, Aryan? Aryan replied: Yes aunty. He placed that photo on the same place and closed the drawer. He moved to open the door. As he unlocked the door, his aunty suddenly pushed the door hard to know why he was sleeping for so long. Door hit Aryan thaakkk Aahh!. Aunty: Ohh does it hurt you, my son? 1

Die with Me Aryan replied with frustration: No it was so much fun, aunty. Why don t you try it again for me? Aunty: Really? Aryan: Come on, aunty. Don t show me your sense of humor in the morning. What happened, why are you so excited to wake me up? Aunty: Falak is calling you on landline guess you are not getting her phone call on your mobile. It s still ringing, go and talk to her maybe it s something important. He heard that ringtone of landline. He just went to the phone and picked up. Hello where are you, yaar? What s going on today. Isn t it a stupid question day? A girl calling on landline and asking where you are. Aryan replied in the same sense, Nowhere, yaar! Just roaming in the market and hanging the landline phone on my neck. You tell what happened. Falak got the reply in the same sense he wanted her to get. Hahaha you were not getting your phone so I thought you are lost somewhere. Anyway, are you coming to the café?. I was ready and just waiting for your yes. Falak asked with confidence that she knew he was coming. Aryan: Yeah I ll be there give me some time. Falak: Okay I am going there, come in half an hour. 2

Onkar Verma She disconnected the phone after saying this. Aryan: Half an hour? Just half an hour? Girls are so intelligent I think. They know half an hour is enough for a man to get ready and come to a coffee house which is approximately 4 5 km far from home. With a confused face, Aryan moved to the bathroom. On the other side Falak started her car. Espresso bar, Great Ormond Street London, November 8, 2012 Falak reached the coffee house safely. She opted for a chair close to the glass walls so that she could have a clear view of the outside. She was the only customer in the café; there was one waiter who was watching her silently Falak looked at him too and gesticulated for a glass of water with a smile. Waiter took it very seriously didn t smile and went to the kitchen area for water. Falak checked her phone to know the time, she was wearing black spaghetti with a brown jacket and sky blue denim. It was a very basic combination for a casual meeting. While drinking water, she saw a young boy outside on a bike wearing white shirt, black jacket and blue jeans. It was cold in London. The café was in Great Ormond Street in United Kingdom, which is a beautiful place in London. 3

Die with Me Aryan entered. Hey! What s up, dear?. Falak: I am great and you are late. So, what s punishment, hmmmm?, Aryan asked with a naughty smile. Falak: Nothing much! Just you have to promise me that you will be with me forever. Yeah I will. Aryan replied with a question in his mind that promising for forever was nothing much for her. Falak was just looking at him and smiling. So what was so important today that you called me so many times and asked me to come here all of a sudden? Aryan was thinking I will kill her if she again says NOTHING MUCH. Falak began answering him with too much of confidence: How can you forget? I have to prepare script for my college play, and you had promised me to help me in that. 4

Onkar Verma Aryan: Okay, so what s the theme of the headline of the play? That s what you have to tell me. Falak replied with confidence again. You mean I have to give you a storyline!, asked Aryan surprisingly and continued, and you are saying it s help?. So? It s not a help?, Falak asked. Aryan: It sounds like I am the one who is writing the script. To hell with the word help. Falak: Okay okay let me correct it, so you are the lead writer and I will help you. Thanks, Aryan replied in a serious tone. Aryan looked at the waiter and smiled he smiled back and came to their table. Falak saw both of them smiling and thought, bloody waiter, he didn t smile back when I gave him a smile is he a gay? Ohh God! the generation is so changed now, along with the girls you have to save your boyfriends from guys too. Aryan looked at her with a confusing face and asked, Is it the story line? NO nothing, Falak instantly ignored him and changed the topic. 5

Die with Me Aryan ordered a hot coffee and asked Falak for her choice; she indicated as she wanted the same. He ordered for two hot coffees and started a discussion on college play. Here, at Aryan s home, Aryan s aunty was on a phone call, sitting in balcony with a serious face. There was a man on the other side on the call. Man: Do you really think he is fine now? Aunty: Yeah! He cracks jokes, laughs and more importantly he is dating a girl here. Her name is Falak, and she is from Pakistan. What about her family?, Uncle asked. Her father came to London from Pakistan in 1985 and started his business here; she was born here in 1992. Well! I don t know more about them but I think she has visited Pakistan once or twice only, aunty replied. Hmmmm Are they serious for each other?, the man asked. Aunty: They are too young for a serious relationship. But everything is going smooth, and we should let it go the way it is going. Let them decide what they want from each other. The man: I am really worried for Aryan. I want him to forget his past and start life afresh. He is in London now. It has beautiful places and beautiful girls, aunty said and laughed. Be positive man, and you are Aryan s dad after all. You have to forget everything too, if you are expecting him to forget, treat him normally; he is absolutely fine now. 6

Onkar Verma Yeah, you are right, Roma, please take care of him. I am grateful to you for all this. He replied. Aunty: Don t say all this; he is like my son too. Here in coffee shop, two hot coffees and two hot people, And king comes to queen and asked for sex, Aryan said with a complete look. Why asking for sex when he wants it from his own queen? What s logic in this story man? You Indians always ask for it? Falak asked with naughty reaction, Aryan: So, you mean I should change it and put any other queen instead of his own queen? Oh God! I think asking for sex is too much important for the story. Right? Falak said with irritation. Make it a little romantic yaar, like it just happens no words, no dialogs. Just they met and started to make love. And the time when they will come close, we will dim the light, and keep it dark for a while, said Falak. No words, no dialogs, what a desperate king! Aryan said and started laughing, Anyway, I like your idea to dim the light and keep it dark, and can I get the role of the king in this play?, asked Aryan. Falak: Shut up! Why? Aryan asked seriously. Because I am not playing the queen in the play my darling, Falak replied. Why not? It s your play, you are directing it, be the queen, saying this Aryan tried to give her a solution. Falak: It s a low-budget college play yaar, we have certain costumes which we got from the college and we had to finalize artist according to costume sizes. 7

Die with Me What the fuck! You mean you have to finalize artists according to costumes sizes? It is so unfair, I was thinking people make dresses according to artist s fittings and convenience, Aryan said with confusion. Hahaha, I am kidding, first of all, we need to complete the story then we will think about casting and all, answered Falak to him. You have got something on your phone, Falak said as she saw Aryan s phone flashed with a message notification. It must be a message for lunch, aunty always sends me this, Aryan said with full confidence. Falak took his phone with a smile and saw that there was a Facebook message notification via Facebook messenger on his phone. So, you added aunty on Facebook?, Falak asked with smile. Aryan got shocked, what? I didn t add her on Facebook, it must be some other message, let me see it, said Aryan. Before giving the phone to Aryan, Falak saw that someone named Manas sent him a text message and it was I am sorry for everything, but I seriously didn t know that it will end in this way, I loved her too as much as you do. Aryan saw the message too and deleted it later. What are you up to?, Falak asked as she saw Aryan taking the key of his bike. Going home, its lunch time, and aunty must be waiting. We can write it after lunch too, saying this, he pointed to the notebook in which they were writing the script of the play. Can I come with you?, asked Falak. No don t come at this time, aunty will be there at home, Aryan said and smiled. 8

Onkar Verma Falak: Oh you naughty boy, I don t have any issue with your aunty, take me to your home just for a bike ride. What about your car?, asked Aryan pointing at the car which was standing outside. I ll take it after lunch, Falak gave him a solution and now he had nothing to say. They went together in Aryan s bike. Falak: Who was that? Aryan: Who? That guy who sent you that message on Facebook, asked Falak reframing her question. Oh yeah, he is one of my school friends from India, replied Aryan. What about that message?, Falak asked again. Aryan: It s nothing it was just a misunderstanding about a girl during school, I don t want to discuss it now, I have forgotten all that stuff, leave it. Falak was not satisfied with the answer, she asked again, He was saying about a girl you love was she your girlfriend in school? Yeah, there was one, but we are not together now, it was just school time stuff. I have forgotten it all. REALLY? YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN ALL? Aryan felt some sound and looked back with a surprised face, You said something? Falak: No, I didn t. Aryan: Hmmm, I heard some voice anyway maybe it s something in my mind. They came home together; aunty saw them from the balcony and smiled and came down to open the door. Lunch At Home Hello aunty, Falak said with a smile. 9

Die with Me Aunty smiled back and indicated her to sit on a chair for the lunch. Falak and Aryan moved to the table; like a gentleman Aryan pulled the chair for her and allowed her to sit first. Falak smiled with a word in her mind impressed. Aunty comes with food and serves to Falak first, How are you Falak beta?, aunty asked. Falak: Good aunty! No more conversations and they start having food all silent; aunty was sitting in front of Falak and keeps looking at both of them. Falak feels a touch on her feet. Uff, under table romance someone touching her feet. Is Aryan trying to seduce me during lunch?, thought Falak. Falak makes a no response face, obviously, because aunty was sitting in front of her. Why doesn t he seduces me when I am alone with him Falak thought with a deep breath. She feels that Aryan is trying to pull her jeans by his fingers, oops, it s a wrong side to take off a jeans it s denim, not a skirt. Why didn t I wear a skirt today. Shit!, All these things were running in her mind. She looked at Aryan and passed a smile. Aryan smiled back and said finish your lunch fast, we need to do some important work after this and you know what the work is. Falak had a single word in her mind and she answered suddenly, SEX?. Aryan: SEX? Aunty: SEX? What other work you can expect after seducing a girl, 10
