About the Composition irst Carols or Christmas is a very easy medley o Up on the Housetop and O Come Little Children. They have been arranged to accommodate the skills o a beginning band and all parts are given an opportunity to play the melody in both carols. The medley can be perormed as ritten or the carols can be played individually. inger cymbals are called or at m. 5. I a triangle is used instead a small one ith a very bright ping ill provide the best eect. A brisk pace is recommended or both carols but as alays tempi are at the discretion o the director. O Come Little Children is usually heard in cut time but it can still be perormed eectively at a tempo suitable or beginners.
