Soon after, we added streaming video cameras you could put in your living room. That was followed by waterproof infrared cameras you could put outside, floor sensors for the basement and laundry room to detect any flooding in your home from your smartphone while you are at the office or on vacation. 13

Wireless Strategies Comcast announced September 20 that it would enter the wireless universe. Chairman and CEO Brian said a team of 150 people were working on launching a Wi-Fi and MVNO-integrated product by mid- 2017. The following day, Charter CEO Tom Rutledge said that his company was eyeing a wireless launch, referring to the 2012 MVNO agreement between Verizon Communications Inc. and Time Warner Cable Inc., which Charter recently acquired in a $78.61 billion deal. The wireless services, at least initially, would be offered to the companies' existing customers as the contracts with Verizon only allow for wireless reselling as part of a bundle, precluding potential customers outside the Comcast and Charter ecosystems from signing up to wireless only, compelling them to take at least one other product.
