WARRANTY LED products and accessories OCTANORM offers the following warranties on all LED products installed in the OCTAlumina series, if the installation was performed by OCTANORM : LED modules: 2 years Information about the warranty for the power supply units of the HLG series can be found on the datasheet supplied by the manufacturer Mean Well (see www.meanwell.com). Warranty service includes free replacement of the faulty item (excluding assembly work, reconstruction costs, and other services). Improper handling will invalidate the warranty. INSTALLATION LED modules and PSU 1. Properly clean the mounting surface before installing the product. 2. Make sure the polarity of all connections (LEDs and PSU!) are right, otherwise the LEDs won t illuminate or might get damaged. 3. The connection named DIM has to be properly connected to avoid damaging the product! (If the product won t be connected to a dimmer, cut off the DIM wire and isolate the remaining bit). 4. The wires are connected properly to the PSU if they can t be pulled out manually. 5. The maximum power of the connected modules mustn t exceed 100 W! 6. The supply line between the power supply and LED bar mustn t be longer than 0.5 m if the maximum number of modules is connected! If this is the case, the supply line has to have a cross-section of 1 mm 2. 7. Only use PSUs with a safety certificate and 24 V DC output voltage (± 5% tolerance. Needs short-circuit protection, overvoltage protection, and excess current protection). 8. The PSU should always supply 20% more power than the rated output off all installed modules. WARNING: The indoor version mustn t be used in a humid environment! It is forbidden to take apart or modify the module! Never install the module while it is connected to a live wire! Mounting and maintenance is only to be carried out by qualified personnel! LED-MODULES General information OCTAlumina LEDs were specifically designed to illuminate double or single-sided light boxes. The High-Power-LEDs are mounted in the lateral system grove of the OCTAlumina frame. From there, the supplied optics ensure a homogenous illumination of the area. In case of damage to persons or property due to mishandling and/or wrong installation of the product, any use other than the aforementioned, or nonobservance of these safety instructions, OCTANORM does not assume liability. Noncompliance also results into expiration of all warranty claims. We do not assume liability for any subsequent damage. The product must not be used without silicon edge graphics mounted (blinding danger). The product must be closed on all sides before use. The LED modules have to be fully covered. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS OCTAlumina Only use the product in dry, dust-free environments. The product is approved for temperatures between -25 C and +45 C. The product must not be used in indoor swimming pools (chloric atmosphere) or places with high corrosion potential (seawater or other atmospheres with high salt content). When disassembled, the profiles have sharp corners (risk of injury!). Please wear adequate protective clothing. Do not put any additional weight on the product and do not lean on the product. If in doubt about the safety, connection, and/or proper use of the product please contact a specialist or your seller. All electrical components have to be checked for possible damage before use. Do not use the product if there is any visible damage or you observe malfunctions. Do not change or alter the product. If a component (e.g. LED module, PSU) is faulty, please use only official OCTANORM spare parts. Installation on primary and/or secondary power lines only after turning off the power.
