SUBJECT: SCIENCE Subject Physics 1. Do some research on various sources of energy. Also read the chapter sources of energy for help. Collect information on the various techniques to save electricity worldwide in various countries. Present the above information in the form of power point presentation.{minimum 20 slides} 2. Make a model of human eye. Make sure the material you use for the model is waste material and eco- friendly. 3. Revise chapter Electricity for periodic test. Subject Biology 1. For Roll nos -1 to 16 AIR POLLUTION is responsible for many health problems in urban areas. Of late, the air quality in Delhi has undergone many changes in terms of the type and level of pollutants. Prepare and present a project report ocontaining the following information: (Use A4 size sheets) Collect the data of pollution levels at five different places in Delhi and NCR. Plot the graph of the data collected by you. Reason and source behind soaring pollution in Delhi. Compare the level of air pollution at indoor and outdoor places near heavy traffic roads and away from heavy traffic roads. Effect of air pollution on human health with relevant pictures. Control measures initiated by the govt. of Delhi regarding vehicular policy, industrial policy. Conclusion Suggestive methods and ideas for improving air quality of Delhi. Roll Nos. 17 to 33 In Delhi, solid waste management is the biggest problem due to burgeoning population. Waste generation per capita has increased and is expected to continue to climb with growing population and there is clear need for the waste disposal management. So, do survey and prepare a project report containing the following information; (Use A4 size sheets) Find out daily garbage generation at your home, locality and Delhi. How much space does trash really occupies? Tabulate the data collected by you. Which type of garbage breaks down fast and easily? Can dangerous, non-biodegradable plastic waste be replaced by safer organic alternatives? Effects of solid waste on human health and environment. Determine whether it is possible to harness energy from the waste generated? Suggest ways to reduce the different types of solid wastes generated daily in Delhi. Page 5 of 8

They usually face health hazards with wide range of symptoms. They often complain about the poor quality of life which they have to face because of the nearby industries. Use A-4 size sheets to make project report on Hardships faced by people living near chemical industries and also suggest the solution to the above problems. 2. Revise chapter Ch 1 'Chemical reactions and equations' and acids, bases and salts for Periodic Tests. Political Science SUBJECT : SOCIAL SCIENCE I. Topic: Women Empowerment in India. You can tell the condition of a nation by looking at the status of its women. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. The project should be made under the following heads: - 1. Why we need women empowerment? 2. Fundamental Rights Article 14, 15(1), 15(3), and 16 regarding women empowerment. 6. Directive Principles of State Policy 39(a), 39(d) and 42 regarding women empowerment. 7. Fundamental Duties 51(A) (e) regarding women empowerment. 8. Specific laws for women empowerment in India. 9. International commitments of India as to women empowerment. 10. Government policies and schemes for women empowerment. 11. Other Constitutional provisions through 73 rd and 74 th amendments. Make a position paper on the above given sub topics.
