This is a ONE HOUR REHEARSAL with 15 minutes allotted to load in the next show and verify paperwork. Rehearsal time starts promptly in order to stay on schedule. The Adjudicators The judging panel was contacted by Tammy Jones, Contest Manager. The judges are: Lead Adjudicator, Jerry Ayers, and panel members: Renee Clark & Christy Collard. Worth, TX 76116 Tuscola, TX 79562 Important Details: Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your rehearsal time. Pull up in the main drive down by the theatre doors (you ll see a sign on the building). Please have your cast and crew remain with your vehicles until a site crew member directs you otherwise. A site crew member will come out and greet you. You will enter through the doors closest to the theatre and can leave items that you do not need for rehearsal in your storage area at this time. Storage: The stage has little storage; therefore, your storage area will be a designated space in the band hall which is just across the hall from the auditorium. ALL SET PIECES NEED TO BE ABLE TO FIT THROUGH A STANDARD DOOR OPENING. We do not have a loading door! Dressing Rooms: You will be assigned a classroom for you to use as a dressing room and hangout area. We will provide you with one full length mirror and trashcans. Please bring your own mirrors. You will have access to the restrooms in the hall. You will be required to leave the classroom in the condition you found it. Trash will need to be bagged and placed in the hallway. Warm Up: You will be escorted to a room for warmups 30 minutes prior to your anticipated show time. Warning Procedures: The stage manager will give audible calls from stage right for set, strike and the 60-second start. The stage manager will give the 35 minute warning to your designated stage manager. This student should respond with 35 minute warning received. Lighting and Sound: There will be a knowledgeable adult in the light/sound booth available to help your students during the rehearsal as well as the performance. Please see tech specs for more information. Admission: There will be a $2 admission charge. Since this is a Saturday competition over a holiday weekend, audience members will not need IDs but should still arrive well ahead of scheduled time. Once a play starts there will be NO ADMISSION into the auditorium. Awards: The announcement of advancing plays and the presentation of awards will follow the last performance as soon as the panel has completed the decision making process. Critiques: Oral critiques will immediately follow the awards. At the end of making the decision, the judges will each draw one advancing school and one non-advancing school to critique. Bus Parking: After load in, buses may park in the side parking lots near cafeteria. Things to Bring to Rehearsal: 1. Check payable to SHS Theatre Amount $575 2. Proof of royalty payment 3. Technical Specs.. Performing Facility: JC Helms Auditorium Proscenium stage Steps on apron in lieu of pit Light/Sound booth in back (small window seen in picture to right) Three double door entrances Seats 1000 in the audience You will set up with the CURTAIN CLOSED! Depth from front step at floor level to back wall is 35 ft 7inches Space between back curtain and back wall is 4 ft. Acting area with legs pulled in is 32 ft 3 inches. Acting area with legs pulled closed is 45 ft 8 inches. We have a complete unit set with 2 window units, a French door and a standard door.

Lighting Specs: Stephenville High School uses LED fixtures with a conventional programmable board (ETC 48 Channel) for UIL OAP. All cues will need to be written and recorded (if applicable) during the one hour rehearsal period. Schools will not be allowed to change the submasters. We provide the ability to plug in an ipod/laptop/cd Player to run your sound through our mixer. We do not have a cd player or laptop available for your use, ONLY the cable for your device to plug into our board. We suggest that you provide your own sound equipment as sound is always a tricky piece of the OAP puzzle. Make sure your sound is downloaded to your device as your device must be in airplane mode during your show.

We have 4 walkie-talkies with earpieces and microphones so that your light/sound booth can talk to your stage manager.
