EDITORS NOTE Editorial board of the journal Psychological Topics has decided that, beginning with the Volume 15, one of the two annual issues will be thematic, dealing with one specific domain or theme within psychological science. We are especially proud that the first special issue is dedicated to Evolutionary Psychology, which is today essential for understanding human behavior and mental processes. The articles published in this issue of Psychological Topics reflect wide variety of topics, th eoretical origins, and methodological accomplishments of contemporary Evolutionary Psychology. Additionally, they are dealing with some existing dilemmas and problems within the field as well as with some erroneous and biased perceptions that are nowadays present about Evolutionary Psychology in lay persons as well as in scientific community. Therefore, we hope that this issue will allow scientific community in Croatia to become better informed about Evolutionary Psychology, today the strongest and the most significant scientific paradigm for understanding human nature. Editorial board of the journal as well as editorial board of the present thematic issue would like to express their warmest thanks to all the authors for their contribution in this issue of Psychological Topics. Igor Kardum Jasna Hudek-Kneževic Asmir Gracanin
