BOOK RECOMMENDATION PROJECT You may choose any of the following menu options to show your understanding of one of the books you read this month that you would like to recommend to your classmates. Essential Elements Have fun and get creative! Fiction - Title/Author - Characters - Setting - Plot Summary (Don t spoil ending!) - Recommendation (Star Rating and why) n-fiction - Title/Author - Format Breakdown - Main Topic - Key Facts/Details (3-5) - Recommendation (Star Rating and why) Project Ideas On the Silver Screen Create a presentation that includes the important elements of your book. Think of a creative way to display your notes. You should address all essential elements when presenting. All Eyes On You Get creative and make another visual besides a poster; a cereal box, diorama, painting, mobile...the possibilities are endless! Be sure to include all essential elements in your presentation. In Bright Lights Make a poster that tells readers about your book! Remember to include the essential elements from above. Act It Out Dress up like one of the key characters you read about and act out an important scene or event to hook readers! You could include a narrator and work with a friend to create a skit. Presentations Skill Pace Voice Paraphrasing Good presenters speak at a clear and understandable pace. Good presenters speak in full sentences, using formal English when in front of a crowd. Good presenters know their presentations well enough to paraphrase their information when talking about it, instead of reading directly from their presentation.
