SUMMER READING AT P.K.S. Students going into the 7 th Grade at Plantation Key School will be required to read one of the books on this list and complete a book report. The students will also take a test on the book they choose the first week back to school. Protagonist Have they said who the good guy or central character is in the story? Have they explained why this character is the protagonist? Antagonist - Have they said who the bad guy is in the story? Remember that it doesn t always have to be a person; it is the force that works against the protagonist. Have they stated what they thought about the book? If first, who was narrating the story? What was the rising action of the story? (The action leading up to the climax) What was the climax of the story? What makes this the climax? Describe in detail. What was the falling action of the story? (The resolution, how loose ends are tied up)
