Problems of poor quality images due to worn VCR tapes and tape management issues are eradicated. The operator never needs to worry about re-winding, changing or replacing tapes again. When the available hard disk space is full, the unit automatically begins recording over the oldest video. Any periods of recorded video can be protected to prevent them from being overwritten. This one box design dramatically reduces the downtime for maintenance or repair generally associated with VCRs, saving installers both time and money. DM s DVR range literally provides a fit and forget solution. Powerful GOTO and event search facilities allow the user to access the footage they need quickly and easily. Digitally signed images can copied to an external CD-R as JPEG or AVI images. These industry standard images can be reviewed by anyone, such as law enforcement agencies on standard CD- ROM drive. No need to worry about investing in any additional equipment. The CD playback software will simply auto-run on your PC. BUILT-IN CD-R Models in the Eco4 range are available with an internal CD-writer dispensing with the hassle of sourcing and purchasing additional, compatible equipment. The internal CD-writer provides a quick and easy way of copying digitally signed video and audio to CD, particularly useful in a small retail environment where shoplifting is a consistent problem. Simply press the copy button, select the required start and stop times and a CD is created for the police to take away. CD playback software is automatically copied along with the event to CD and will simply auto-run on a standard PC. VISIBLE DETERRENT We believe that prevention is better than cure! Eco4 s professional live monitor display acts as an excellent deterrent to would be shoplifters and intruders, as well as helping to reassure your client s customers and staff of a safe, secure environment. HIDDEN CAMERAS For covert operations such as investigating stock shrinkage and cash-shrinkage such as staff underringing, and making voids. Eco4 has a covert or hidden camera option to put a stop to any suspected staff theft. REMOTE VIEWING The Eco4 has two main options for remote viewing via a dial-up modem or using a standard ethernet or broadband connection. Dial-up is for use in applications where there is no PC network available, it enables your client to view images on the unit at any time with the use of a standard modem and telephone line.** In networked applications Eco4 uses a standard ethernet connection to provide remote monitoring capabilities either on a LAN, WAN or the Internet. Images are viewed remotely using Dedicated Micros FREE network viewer software, or via a standard Internet browser. The remote keyboard features an integral joystick allowing simple twist zoom control of telemetry cameras. D4 can also trigger the telemetry receiver or dome to go to a pre-set position when an external alarm is activated. REAL-TIME AUDIO RECORDING Sometimes pictures don t tell the whole story. All D4 DVRs include the facility to record audio along with the video images assisting in identification of suspects, and aiding understanding of events. MOTION DETECTION AND SEARCH Alongside control of wired alarm inputs, D4 s video motion detection facility triggers an alarm when movement in a user-definable area of the image is detected. D4 s feature set also includes video motion search allowing the operator to narrow search parameters to a particular area of an image during a user-defined time span. This feature is particularly useful when searching for evidence of slight of hand activities such as shop lifting. Dedicated Micros DV-IP Server range offers installers networked, reliable and easily scalable CCTV. Unlike other IP solutions on the market the DV-IP server is a hybrid product designed to continue recording and managing alarms even in the event of a network failure. DV-IP SERVER SDK STORAGE SOLUTIONS The DV-IP Server SDK provides integration opportunities by offering DM authorised integrators the necessary tools and flexibility to design custom Java based applications. Video can for example, be integrated into other building management systems providing the end user with a powerful management interface; or integrators can generate video recordings that are linked to events, such as machine failure or process alarms particularly useful on large and multi-campus manufacturing sites. HYBRID SOLUTION The DV-IP server only uses the network as a transport mechanism to relay images from the recording device to the PC, but records evidential quality images locally to the hard disk. Even in the event of network failure the DV-IP server never stops recording so your client never need miss any critical footage. And in the unlikely event of an internal failure, an integral flash disk enables the unit to maintain its reporting functions and live video. FULLY SCALABLE The DV-IP Server is simple to expand or modify to meet future needs. The built-in flexibility of IP networking makes it possible to expand a security system gradually rather than having to invest in costly, awkward cable runs to gain a couple of extra cameras. A video-server can be dropped into a convenient point on the network to take in the additional cameras. The cost per camera is dramatically reduced as the size of the installation grows. ADDITIONAL ALARM OUTPUTS Six relay outputs provide greater flexibility for integrators. Five of the alarm relays have factory default settings of VMD, Camera Fail, Global Alarm, primary signal failure system set/unset with the remaining relay available for integration with an intruder alarm, access control system, lighting etc. All relays are user-definable so the default state can be turned off, providing 6 relay contacts for alarm responses or manual closure over the network. BS-8418 SUPPORT Only those security systems which have achieved the new BS-8418 quality standard in the UK will qualify for Level One police response to alarms. With central stations often billing for each alarm response, it s in everyone s interest to minimise the number of false alarms generated. The DV-IP sever features false alarm management, tamper-proof alarm-handling, secondary signalling, fault tolerance and comprehensive logs in full compliance with BS-8418. BUILT-IN FIREWALL The DV-IP Server features a built-in firewall for intrusion detection and protection. Network PING responses can be disabled, making it impossible to stumble across the DV-IP s IP address using automated software to send pings to IP address ranges. Coupled with Trusted IP addresses and the ability to open specific TCP and UDP ports the DV-IP Server is configurable for use on any network large or small. Dedicated Micros has a range of storage solutions with the capacity to meet today s most demanding requirements for extended high quality recording. These DM products are the only storage expansion units guaranteed to work with our DVR range. JBOD JBOD is a high capacity external hard disk option that simply provides additional storage capabilities for all DVRs in the Dedicated Micros range. When you connect one or more JBOD devices, DM DVRs automatically detect the available capacities seeing them as one large storage space, so playback, search and archiving facilities function as normal. JBOD units currently have a hard disk capacity of 1TB. RAID RAID units function in much the same way as the JBOD units, but have built-in redundancy to ensure video footage remains in tact even in the unlikely event of disk failure. Disks and power supplies may also be hotswapped without affecting recording. RAID units are available with hard disk capacities of 1.2TB and 2.4TB.
