FIVE FLAGS THEATER SERVICES STATEMENT This booklet is designed to allow you, our guest, to become more familiar with the available equipment and the location of the FIVE FLAGS THEATRE. We hope that this pamphlet will be an aid in the planning of your event/production. The Center staff will more than be happy to answer any question or assist you in the planning of your event, so your stay in the theatre complex will be a pleasant and smooth one. The Five Flags Theatre is a proscenium stage originally built in 1910 and refurbished in 1976 and 2001. A Location of the Five Flags Theatre Entering the city on: Hwy. 20 East or West, come to the west side of the Mississippi Bridge and turn north onto Locust Street (the first street to the north and west of the bridge) - stay in the center lanes - take Locust Street five blocks to 4 th Street. Hwy 61 & 151 North or South - follow the hwy. through the city and look for the Civic Center exits. If you arrive on 5 th Street, look for the Five Flags Center. Follow the one-way streets around to 4 th Street. Hwy 3 & 52 From the South - used directions as Hwy. 151. Hwy 3 & 52 From the North - used directions as Hwy. 151. Street to Store Rm. 20'-0"h x 12'-0"w Loading information and travel distances: When entering the theatre from 4th St., you access the building thru the 4th St. overhead door - distance from the street to the door is approximately 20 feet; them, through the Store Room to the Scene Shop overhead door approximately 10 feet: them, through the Scene Shop the Theatre stage overhead door approximately 30 feet; then onto the stage. NOTE: Both the Stage Door and the LOADING DOOR are located on 4 th Street. F Stage Floor: Soft wood suspended floor with dull black-brown finish. Any user group must check with the Technical Director before driving any fastener into the stage floor. G Traps: The traps are located in the center of the stage. H Curtains Available See Black Velour Inventory I Orchestra Pit & Equipment: Size - The Pit is fan shaped in eleven sections, approximate overall width of 32 feet &overall depth of 6.5 feet. Pianos - A piano is provided by prior arrangement. The pianos are tuned on a as needed basis. Any tuning will be billed to the requesting user group. Music Stands - Fifteen Manhasit stands and 17 light are available. Pit Positions - Stage Floor level, Audience level and Pit Floor level. NOTE: There is a labor charge for setting and striking the Pit Sections. The pit normal position is audience level. Make: Yamaha Piano Size: 7ft. Condition: Good Make: Yamaha Upright Size: 4ft. Orchestra shells in stored on line sets, #4, #13, #23 K Fly System: A manual single purchase counterweight system of 20 line sets is located on stage right. A spotline (hemp line) system are also in use and are operated stage right at the pin & rail level above the stage floor. L Control Information: House Lighting Controls & Stage Manager's desk is located on stage right, on the down stage wall, at the plaster line. Dressing and storage room paging system is at this location. Stage Sound and Lights are controlled from a booth in the balcony with clear visibility to the stage. M Dressing Rooms: Three chorus type dressing rooms seating 9 each and one Star dressing are located below the stage, accessed from the spiral stairway USR. Paging communication between Stage Manager and dressing rooms is provided. N Movie Screen: A 27-foot by 20-foot front projection screen is permanently hung on counterweight pipe #10. O Cyc: A white Leno Sharkstooth cyc is provided. P Shop Space: The Scene Shop can be rented by prior arrangement. It is located directly behind the back wall of the stage. It has access to the stage by double doors and an overhead door. Q Chairs and Tables: Adequate chairs are available by prior arrangement. 2
