He was the president of the Los Angeles State Normal School (1917-19), professor of education and director, UCLA (1919-29), vice-president of UCLA (1929-31), provost of UCLA (1931-36) and professor of philosophy and education (1936-41). He was also the author of many books on education. The collection contains personal correspondence, materials from the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, clippings about Moore, papers concerning education in the Los Angeles area, reprints of articles sent to Moore, a catalog of Moore's library, and microfilm of Moore's diaries, appointment books, and commonplace books. Scope and Content Collection contains personal correspondence, materials from the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, clippings about Moore, papers concerning education in the Los Angeles area, reprints of articles sent to Moore, a catalog of Moore's library, and microfilm of Moore's diaries, appointment books, and commonplace books.
