It is necessary to put these functions in to a special MENU screen. These will restrict operation of these functions only vehicle is parked. This is to make driver s attention to the road and not to this unit. Any function that requires driver s attention for a long time should be performed only after you stop the car. Always stop the car in a safe place before performing these functions. Performing these functions while driving may result in a serious accident. FUSE REPLACEMENT When replacing the fuses, the replacement must be the same amperage as shown on the fuse holder. If the fuse(s) blow more than once, carefully check all electrical connections for short circuit, also have your vehicle s voltage regulator checked. DO NOT USE IMMEDIATELY IF A PROBLEM APPEARS When a problem appears, stop using the system immediately and contact the dealer from whom you purchased the equipment. Remote Control replacing battery 1 Opening the battery cover. PUSH 2 PULL OUT Replacing a new battery as shown. Basic Operation POWER ON / OFF 1. POWER ON Press any button on the unit or Power Button of the remote control to turn the power on. The monitor is automatically opened. When REVERSE wire is connected to the signal output (12V) of the reverse gear, the monitor is automatically opened and the mode is set to RVC 2. POWER OFF Press the Power Button on the unit more than 1 second or the remote controller again to turn the power off. And the monitor is automatically closed. If the car key is pulled out, the monitor will be closed automatically. OPENING THE MONITOR Press any button, the monitor will be opened. CLOSING THE MONITOR Press Open/Close Button on the unit. The monitor will be closed or opened. If it is not closed, hold left and right upper side of the monitor and make the monitor parallel with the unit as the picture. If the monitor is not paralled to the front of the unit, the monitor will not be closed. ADJUSTING TILT POSITION The tilt position can be adjusted in 8 steps by pressing Tilt Up/Down Button. Each time you press Tilt Up/Down Button the monitor will swing one step backward or forward. 60 110 9
Basic Operation ADJUSTING MOVE POSITION The move position can be adjusted in 4 steps by pressing more than 2 sec Tilt Up / Down Button or Tilt In / Out Button of the remote controller. 7mm 7mm If the monitor is not parallel to the front of the unit, the MOVE function is not operated. You can hear fast beep tone, when you operate the mechanism under abnormal conditions (Minimum, Maximum, crooked angle of the front panel). ADJUSTING LEFT / RIGHT VIEWING POSITION The monitor s left / right position can be adjusted for easier viewing by hand as the picture below. SELECTING MODE Press Mode Button to select the desired mode. Each time you press this button, the mode changes as follows. AV1 AV2 RVC If the REVERSE wire is connected to power output of the reverse gear, the mode will be automatically changed to RVC when the gear is positioned to REVERSE. 10
Basic Operation SETTING THE CAMERA IN When you install a rear view camera, you must connect a rear view camera to RVC. If you put the gear lever to R (Reverse) to move your car backward, the rear view camera video will be displayed on the screen through the RVC mode. WARNING SCREEN The monitor shows the following warning picture when parking brake is not pulled or while driving to prevent traffic accident that may happen while watching the screen. The monitor shows the warning picture only and does not operate menu control. ADJUSTING VOLUME Press the Volume Up / Down Button to adjust the volume level. AUDIO MUTE Press the Mute Button to mute the audio. Press the mute button or any button again to return to the previous audio level. 11
Function SELECTING THE MENU You can select the menu to make this unit or VIDEO sources connected to this unit in the best conditions. 1. Press Menu Button to select desired menu. Each time you press Menu Button, the menu changes as follows. PICTURE AUDIO SETTING MENU OFF 2. Press Cursor Up / Down Button to select the item that you want to adjust. The background color of the selected item changes to yellow. 3. Press Cursor Left / Right Button to adjust the selected item. The appeared time is also adjusted in MENU SETTING page. The MENU button is used for memorizing each re-adjusted level. PICTURE CONTROL Press Menu Button to show PICTURE on the screen. DIMMER STANDARD DAY NIGHT AUTO USER : Adjusting for brightness of the screen. : Adjusting for contrast level of the picture. : Adjusting for clear-cut level of the picture. : Adjusting for the depth of color. : Adjusting for the tone of color. : The brightness of this unit will be changed depending on the brightness of the environment. Dimmer mode will be toggled as follows STANDARD DAY NIGHT AUTO USER : The brightness level is set to 50. (Default set) : The brightness level is set to 70. : The brightness level is set to 40. : It is automatically changed between DAY and NIGHT depending on the brightness of the environment. : The brightness level is set to a user s set level. If you change the BRIGHTNESS level, DIMMER value will be changed USER mode automatically. If the illumination wire is connected to the tail lamp and you turn on the tail lamp in your car, the brightness level is automatically set to 40 degree (AUTO mode only) 12
Function 7. SCREEN FLIP : Each time you press SCREEN FLIP button, screen display will be changed flip mode and normal mode. The FLIP screen will be useful when this unit is installed in reversed mode as follows (FLIP mode: 180 rotated image) PW For memorizing re-adjusting value, press Menu Button and exit PICTURE page. AUDIO CONTROL Press Menu Button repeatedly to show TV & AUDIO on the screen. Press Cursor Up / Down Button to select the desired item. Press Cursor Left / Right Button to change the item s value or level. 1. VOLUME : Adjusting for audio volume The volume level is indicated in the monitor from 0(min) to 50(max). 2. FM OUTPUT : Transfer a wireless audio signal to your car stereo. The selectable frequencies are from 87.9MHz to 90.9MHz with 0.2MHz span. Set the frequency to the less interfered point or your car stereo. 13

VIDEO3 MIRROR : TV output type select (AUTO, PAL, NTSC) : The picture is shown as 4:3 or 16:9 sized screen. : The OSD TIMEOUT can be adjusted from 5SEC ~ No time out. 00 value is no time out. The default set is 10 seconds. : It is adjusted from 00 ~ 100 and the background transparency is adjusted. : The OSD language is selectable. (ENGLISH / KOREAN : Each time you press this button, VIDEO3 MIRROR mode will be changed as follows. 180 0 When you set VIDEO3 MIRROR 180 and input mode selected to RVC, the screen will be show mirror looking image. It is useful when a rear view camera is connected to RVC input. Even if VIDEO3 MIRROR mode is set to 180 and input mode selected to RVC, screen will be changed to normal display mode when enter the MENU pages. 7. FACTORY RESET : When you press this button, following menu setting values are reset to factory default condition. GENERAL Power does not turn on. (No sound is produced) Fuse is blown Incorrect wiring Replace with a fuse of the same amperage. Display is not accurate. The microprocessor has malfunctioned due to noise, etc. Power it off and power it on again. If it is not working, consult installation shop where you purchased it from. The Remote controller does not work. Direct rays of the sun fall on the light-receptive part of the remote controller The battery of the remote controller unit is dead or there is no battery in the remote controller unit When direct rays of the sun fall on the lightreceptive part of the remote controller, it may not work. Check the battery of the remote controller unit. MONITOR Warning screen is displayed. The parking brake is not pulled or the parking brake wire is not connected. Check the parking brake is applied. The display is dark. The brightness control is too low. The operating condition is not good. The headlight of the vehicle is lit. Adjust the brightness properly. The temperature inside the vehicle may be 0 degree or less. Set to an appropriate temperature (25 degree or so) and check it again. The display is may dark at night to prevent the glare (When the headlight of the vehicle is lit in the daytime, the display gets dark). The color of the display is light or a shade of color is not good. The color is not adjusted adequately Check that Contrast and Color are adjusted properly. When video source is connected, the image is disturbed. Improper NTSC / PAL setting. Set the NTSC / PAL properly according to video source.
