IP-TV Streamer Flexible Solution Multiple outputs Modular IP-TV Streamer Function IxStream is a unicast/multicast head-end streamer for IP-TV distribution. The streamer receives media on its input interfaces and sends it out as single program MPEG-2 transport streams on the IP network. The output streams can be displayed by standard set-top boxes and software media players. It's main usage is to create local information TV channels consisting of web pages and video clips. The playout is controlled by confgurable playlists. The infostreamer can also be a part in an interactive TV service where a backend web application is used to handle the interaction with the user. The video signal from the arena mixer/camera is compressed to mpeg by the mobile streamer and sent to the TV server over Internet. The TV server in Karlskrona forwards the signal to IPTV, CATV and WebbTV clients. The webbtv signal is transcoded to a lower bitrate (less than 1 Mbps).
