Apply Fade Out to music track Select Fade Out form the Effect menu
Music track is complete Fade-out effect is applied If you desire sharper fadeout, apply the effect one more time Voice Track Music Track
Apply Fade in to end of voice track Voice Track Music Track
Play intro and save Voice Track Music Track
Recording interviews in Stereo From Edit menu choose Preferences
Check Preferences Confirm that you have chosen Stereo in Audacity Preferences
Confirm recording Line-in Confirm that Microphone or desired Line-in are chosen
Begin recording Click Record Stereo track begins to record
Split Stereo Track Once recording is complete, click on audio track and choose Split Stereo Track
Delete right or left track Delete one of the tracks by clicking on the X in the upper left corner of the Track Control Panel
Turn stereo track to mono Turn stereo track to mono by once more clicking on Audio Track and choosing Mono
Save and edit Audacity will automatically turn stereo track to mono track
