The show The show will last 70 minutes, there is no interval. If you want to leave the auditorium at any time, you can. There is a Chill Out space past the Box Office with sofas that you can go to relax, if you want to. The set There won t be any performers on stage when you arrive. There are a number of different locations in the story.

1. A 1950 s Music Show When you arrive at the theatre there will be red velvet curtains framing two doorways and a stage. The doorways and the stage are filled with golden sparkly strips of material. The stage is a semi circle shape at the back of the auditorium. The stage is black and shiny, and has lots of musical instruments on it. You will see a piano, a big double bass, a flute, a guitar, and some drums. The actors, who are also musicians, will at time play the instruments and sign songs. These songs are an important part of telling the story. In front of the stage is a circle of black and white chequer flooring. The actors will move around the chequer flooring to show you different locations in the story.

2. The Royal Palace You will know you are at the Royal Palace when you see a circle of grass laid over the chequer board floor to create the pristine lawn of the King and Queen.

3. The Happy Ever After Beauty Salon We go into and out of the Salon quite a few times in the play. You will know we are in the Salon when you see 3 trollies on wheels, full of bright pink lotions, potions and beauty products. One of these trollies has a sign that reads The Happy Ever After Beauty Salon. When we are in the Salon you will also see a red leather chair on wheels that the Salon customers sit in to have their beauty treatments. And sometimes in the Salon you might see a Perm setter, which look like a big shiny helmet on wheels.

4. The Woods The woods are created using wooden crates, and a tall tree in the middle of the stage.

5. The Underground Collective of the Moles The underground world of the moles is created using a wall of material that is hung from the tree. And wooden crates on top of each other.

The characters The story has lots of different characters who will be performed by 6 actors on the stage. Before the play starts, the actors will come out and introduce themselves. They will tell you about the characters that they play. Each actors plays more than one character, but you can tell them apart by their different costumes and different voices. Kuran (an actor) Kuran will play the character Snow White. Kuran will also sing and play instruments as part of the Band.

Anne (an actor) Anne will play the characters Trish, the Butcher and will puppeteer the moles called Hope and Lola. Anne will sing as part of the Band.

Eloise (an actor) Eloise will be playing the characters Queen, Mirror, Goldilocks, Little Pig, and will puppeteer the mole called Elma. Eloise will also sing and play instruments as part of the Band.

Matthew Cavendish (an actor) Matthew will play the characters King, Prince Charming, Big Bad, Sad Man, and will puppeteer the mole called Ken. Matthew will also sing and play instruments as part of the Band.

Edward Hole (an actor) Edward will play the characters Federico, Photographer and will puppeteer the moles called Pierre and Jose. Edward will also sing and play instruments as part of the Band.

Sophie (a musician) Sophie is the Band Leader and will sit playing the piano for a lot of the show. Sophie also puppeteers the mole called Shanika.

The puppets The actors will also have puppets which you will see in the pictures below. They are mole puppets. The actors will perform the voices and actions for the puppets. The actors will introduce you to the puppets before the play starts.

The story The band sing a song about the beautiful people.

The King and Queen and their daughter Snow White try to have a royal family photo taken. The King sees a molehill on his precious lawn and gets so cross he collapses and dies. The Queen sends Snow away to live with the Queen s sister Trish, who Snow has never met, who owns the Happy Ever After Beauty Salon.

We watch an advert for Trish s Salon in which she transforms a very sad man to a very happy man.

Snow arrives at the Salon and Trish offers her a place to stay.

We meet Trish s trainee Federico. He mainly cleans lots of mirrors. Snow is also given a job as a trainee in the Salon.

We see fairytale characters having amazing transformative beauty routines. Goldilocks. Then one of the Little Pigs. And then Prince Charming.

Trish has a Relaxation Room, that no one else is allowed to enter. In this Room Trish has a magic Mirror. The Mirror tells Trish she is the fairest of them all. Back in the Salon Snow searches for the Big Bad wolf s special brush, but cannot find it. She thinks the brush might be in Trish s Relaxation Room, and so enters to look for it.

Snow finds the brush and meets the magic Mirror.

Big Bad has a transformative beauty routine. This involves lots of singing and dancing. The Mirror tells Trish she is no longer the fairest of them all. Her niece Snow is now the fairest. Trish is jealous and angry.

Trish tells Federico to take Snow into the woods to kill her. He cannot kill his friend. Instead Snow runs away into the woods. Snow like the woods at first and then becomes scared and thinks she sees Trish everywhere and even meets a bear.

Federico buys a heart and lungs from the Butcher to fool Trish that he has killed Snow. Snow finds a door and goes down some stairs where she falls asleep.

The next day Snow is woken by the characters who live where Snow has fallen asleep - 7 moles.

Trish feels guilty about the murder of her niece Snow. She visits the Mirror who tells her Snow is still alive and still the fairest. Trish is angry with Federico and makes a poison apple that she feeds to him and he collapses.

Snow enjoys living underground with the moles and helping them in clever ways. She discovers that drinking soil dug up by moles mixed with a little bit of mole scatt (poo) makes you feel amazing.

Snow reads in a newspaper that her friend Federico s body has been put on display in the Salon window and goes to rescue him.

Trish tries to kill Snow by putting her under the perm setter and turning it up really hot. Snow is rescued by the Queen.

Federico is rescued by Prince Charming, who helps him spit out the apple. Snow forgives Trish. The Mirror tells Trish because she is magic she doesn t look at the face but at the heart. Trish apologies to Snow.

Snow gives Trish one of mole scat healthy mud shakes and she feels amazing. Trish and the Queen forgive each other. Trish takes a holiday and the moles start a mud shake business.
