The Upside Down and Backwards Man Written by Stack Jones 2017. All rights reserved. There is a man who has become the talk of the town. Why? Because that man does everything upside down. It s not just upside down you see. That man does many things backwards. He s not at all like you and me. Upside down, and backwards is the way he walks. Upside down and backwards is the the way he talks. What he communicates to others, I haven t a clue. What a strange man! Don t you think so too? The upside down, and backwards man has recently been looking to purchase a new home. Of course, it must be upside down, and backwards. The problem is that upside down, and backward houses are very hard to find. To locate a home like that, was going to take time. One day while skating backwards, up a hill, on a snowy street, the upside down, and backwards man stumbled upon what he considered to be, the most beautiful house, that he d ever seen. He wanted to purchase it, on that he was keen. 1

The sight of the house excited him so, that he immediately stood upon his head and shouted, House down side up perfect the found I. Overwhelmed with joy, the upside down, and backwards man wanted to cry. The upside down, and backwards man drew closer, and closer to what he perceived as the most glorious house that had ever been conceived. He noticed that there was no front door. This excited him exceedingly. He must find out more! He examined the front of the house, from bottom to top. But, that was only the beginning, he wasn t at all about to stop. He skated to the back of the house. He was searching for one thing, that was to be a most significant something. And there it was! The door to enter the house was exactly where it should be. At the foundation of the house, near the roof, obviously! Was anyone home? It was hard to tell. That s when he noticed the upside down bell. This is a photo of the upside down, and backwards man. 2

Seen ever I ve house perfect most the is this. Me for house perfect the is it. He removed his skates, and in his stocking feet, climbed up, up, up. A challenging feat! When the upside down, and backwards man finally reached the top, he pounded on the door with the knuckles of both hands, and refused to stop. But, no one answered! The upside down, and backwards man thought someone must be home. All the while knowing that he was truly alone. The emptiness was evident through the upside down window, adjacent to the door. He must locate the owner. He simply couldn t wait anymore. Home is someone when later return will I, he said. Thoughts of living in that house swirled through his head. In his rush to leave, he nearly failed to see, there was a sign posted on the lawn. What could that be? He took out his glasses, and began to read. That sign provided the man his initial lead. Sale For House! The sign was written upside down, and backwards too! How is it possible that it almost escaped from his view? The upside down, and backwards man pretended not to be in hurry. But, his feet betrayed him. They moved in a fury. This is the upside down, and backwards man s pet sloth. 3

Who would want to live in an upside down, and backwards home? Nobody, but I. No one, but me. I ll go home, and eat dinner, and I ll have some tea. Then, I ll make the call. It s not that important to me. As soon as he entered the door to his home, the upside down, and backwards man raced to the phone. He dialed the number that was posted on the sign. The phone rang, and it rang, and after a few more times, a voice on the other end finally chimed. Olleh? Without introducing himself, the upside down, and backwards man blurted, House down upside the of owner the this is? The voice on the other end inquired if the house was to be his. It is yes, the man replied. He shouted into the phone, House the buy to want I. The voice on the other end responded by saying, You to it sell will I. The upside down, and backwards man was exceedingly excited, and could not suppress it. Much how?, he hollered. MUCH HOW!, he did stress this. The owner of the house stated, Dollars ten, price half for you to it sell will I. The upside down, and backwards man responded by saying, It take I ll. It take I ll. It take I ll, KO! And just like that, the deal was ready to go. This painting hangs on a wall in the upside down, and backwards man s new home. 4

As fast as one could say all of the seven continents, and the seven seas too, the upside down, and backwards man prepared for his move. It won t be long now, he thought to himself. It won t be long before I have that house all to myself. Once settled in, the upside down, and backwards man said, Had ever I home, best the is this. He became so content that whenever he greeted someone, he gave them a great hug, and a very big kiss. Now, whenever the upside down, and backwards man s friends stop by they proclaim, Home perfect the found you see I. Most importantly though, when its time to go, they never said goodbye. They always say, Hello! These are the friends of the upside down, and backwards man. This is not the end of the story of the upside down, and backwards man you see. It s only the beginning for him of what is to be. 5
