By ominous12b This books was well written and the few interviews were well handled and provided solid and useful information. The images are fairly good all around throughout the book as well. My only problem with the
book is the lack of content. There's about 5 pages of text tops. Don't get me wrong I love the images too but I was using this as a source for my dissertation that was on the values of letterpress in graphic design and was hoping this book would have been more helpful. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Books need editors, I've said it once I'll say it again! By C. Morrison This is a great book as it has collected, I'm not sure how, a group of designers who are all clearly excellent print-makers too. A wonderful resource for ideas, and for the technical reader too. My only complaint, and it may seem minor, is that there seems to have been little or no editing of the texts. A good editor not only strengthens the language of a book, they also solidify (sometimes) the idea of the book. In the case of this book, the thesis seems to be nothing more than to showcase great work, without much in the way of contextualization.
