PROJECT OPTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS A. MAGAZINE PROJECT (Group 2-4 ) You will create a magazine over the Roaring 20s, and each be responsible for different parts of the project. You will be graded on what you produce, so divide the work. 1. Illustrated Cover in color 2. Table of Contents 3. Two feature articles about a 1920s figure with pictures 4. Two feature articles about a 1920s event with pictures 5. One of the following: An original political cartoon, advice column, or poem 6. One advertisement 7. Citations Page (minimum of 3, no wiki, and in MLA format) B. MAGAZINE PROJECT (Individual) You will create a magazine over the Roaring 20s, and will be responsible for the following: 1. Illustrated Cover in color 15 points 2. Table of Contents 10 points 3. Feature article about a 1920s figure or event with picture 35 pts 4. Choose one: An original political cartoon, advice column, or poem - 15 pts 5. One advertisement 15 pts 6. Citations Page (minimum of 3, no wiki, MLA format) 10 pts C. Work is creative, colorful, neat, historically accurate, follows PACTS, and looks like Facebook Page 7. cite all pictures and work on back of poster, with at least 3 citations (no wiki) in MLA format E. Fine Arts Presentation Art Mosaic, Diorama, Song, Poetry, or Dance with written research Your piece must have a one page historical impact paper with 3 citations (no wiki) MLA style. (Individual or Group) *Song or Dance requires Presentation F. Act it out! Video presentation with actors and a written script (Group 2-4) Each student will be graded for their part in the program (Writers, Videographer, Actors, Research) It must be three - five minutes in length and you will write a summary of your part and turn in a citations page (3 citations, no wiki, MLA style). G. Multi Media Presentation (Powerpoint, Poster, and Presentation) (Group 2-4) Each group member must turn in their research notes (3 references each) and explain what they contributed to the project. 1. Powerpoint a. Visuals (6 images, 2 videos, music, in slide show) c. Summary of your topic s impact on American life during the 1920s d. Biographical summaries of at least three Americans who contributed to your topic (1 slide each) 1. One picture for each person 2. One quotation from each person 3. A video clip about each person
