Introduction Remote Control Key Functions AUDIO POWER DVD MODE CABLE INPUT VCR STB TELETEXT BUTTONS These buttons are used for teletext. For further details, see the Teletext section (Refer to p.50). Installation Instruction External Equipment Connections VCR Setup - To avoid picture noise (interference), leave an adequate distance between the VCR and. - Typically a frozen still picture from a VCR. When connecting with a Scart cable Back panel Connect the scart socket of the VCR to the AV scart socket on the set. Please use shielded scart cable. Insert a video tape into the VCR and press PLAY on the VCR. (Refer to the VCR owner s manual.) AV AV Antenna Select AV input source with using the INPUT button on the remote control. - If connected to AV scart socket, select AV input source. AUDIO/ VIDEO (R) AUDIO (L) VCR If your VCR outputs an AV switching signal via the AV or AV scart sockets, the set will switch to AV input source automatically. But if you want to keep on watching mode, press the PR D / E or number buttons. You can also record programmes received by the on video tape. The signal type RB (the signals red, green and blue) can only be selected for the AV scart socket and the AV input source can be received. These signals are transmitted, for example, by a pay decoder, game machine or photo CD unit, etc and that digital signal can be recorded via AV scart socket. If the AV, AV scart sockets have been connected to the VCRs simultaneously, only the AV input source can be received. In AV scart socket, the video output is not available.

When connecting with an S-Video cable R AUDIO front L/MONO AV VIDEO S-VIDEO Connect the S-VIDEO output of the VCR to the S- VIDEO input on the set. The picture quality is improved; compared to connecting a regular VCR to the Video input. Connect the AUDIO jacks between and VCR. Insert a video tape into the VCR and press PLAY on the VCR. (Refer to the VCR owner s manual.) ANT IN Select S-Video input source with using the INPUT button on the remote control. ANT OUT S-VIDEO OUT (R) AUDIO (L) VIDEO IN VCR
