The modern cable television plant provides its subscriber base with well established revenue generating services operating within the return path frequency range of 5-200MHz. Adding services such as Video-on-Demand (VOD), Voice over IP, and Broadband Internet access has required upgrades to the equipment that support these ever demanded end user services. An RF Signal Management solution is critical to prevent any interruption in service delivery. THREE YEAR PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY INCLUDED In today s connected world, consumers will continue to demand faster internet speeds, leading to smaller subscriber to node ratios. This shift requires a new level of Headend Grade RF Signal Management equipment to give you the best performance within the smallest rack space footprint. The RDS Series achieves these requirements cost effectively. The RDS Series of Return Path Distribution Devices are designed to route 16 return path inputs to multiple output configurations for all applications of RF Management. Each input is distributed to its two, three, or four individual 1:1 outputs depending on model. Remaining signals are then combined in groups of 2x1, 4x1, 8x1 and 16x1. The quantity of ports per combining group varies depending upon the RDS Series model. With the various models in the RDS Series, you have the ability to customize your return path routing to best meet existing and future delivery of advanced services. The front panel has front panel mounted -20dB input test points for monitoring and testing of the return path without affecting the cable network. As an optional feature set, an insertion port for each of the 16 inputs can also be provided on the chassis front panel. With a wide operational frequency range of 5-200MHz, the RDS units are well suited for the return path applications of today with a possibility for frequency stacking and de-stacking.
