Mounting the camera Execute the different working steps in the given order: Install the frame grabber card in the corresponding computer. (See enclosed original manual of Falcon/Eagle - Frame Grabber Card) Install the supplied software on the corresponding computer. (See enclosed original manual Falcon/Eagle - Frame Grabber Card) Connect the Sub-D connector of the LPKF special line (9pin. Sub-D - BNC+Cinch) to the socket (No.2 in fig. 5-1). Connect the Cinch socket (No.5 in fig.5-1) with the BNC-socket (No1 in fig. 5-1). To do this, use the green BNC BNC line as well as the BNC -- Cinch adapting connector (included in the delivery). Fix the camera holder with two Allen screws at the milling head (see following fig.). There are two screw borings provided at the milling head. Fig. 5-2: Camera holder Fix the camera on the camera holder using the knurled screw (see following fig). MultiPress-II 7

Mounting the camera 5.1 Focus adjustment If this has not yet been done, install the QuickView program on your computer. The installation instructions for this software can be found in the README file on the program disk. Start the QuickView program. Start the BoardMaster program. Put the underlay material as well as the base plate to be machined onto the machine base plate. Traverse the milling head to a free spot above the basic material. Loosen the knurled screw on the camera just so much that the camera can be moved. The height of the camera must be adjusted so that a clear image can be seen on the QuickView monitor. Tighten the knurled screw again when the image is clear. Attention: The focus must be readjusted when the material thickness is changed! Note: For the position adjustment the cross hairs circle in QuickView must be adjusted. To do this, click on the button (see following figure) and the cross hairs appear. Fig. 5-5: QuickView-Button (cross hairs) The diameter of the cross hairs circle can be changed using the and keys. The total area represented in the QuickView window is about 10 x 8mm. Offset adjustment of the camera 6.0 Offset adjustment of the camera Make sure that the machine is adjusted correctly. Switch on the circuit board plotter. Start programs BoardMaster and QuickView on your computer Now insert the drilling tool (about 1mm) into the spindle. Attention: the milling head must now be traversed to the zero point. Make sure that the zero is not on the position of an alignment hole, as you cannot drill a hole there, and may cause considerable damage to the machine. Drill a hole into the basis material exactly on the zero point. Traverse the milling head such that the hole which has been drilled previously becomes visible in the QuickView monitor. Now move the milling head slowly until the hole is exactly in the cross hairs or cross hairs circle, respectively. Choose menu - configuration/heads - and click on light spot/camera - afterwards on Origin". (See following fig.) Then click on OK. Note: When you double-click on the QuickView camera image on the monitor it will remain in the foreground. Now click on light spot/camera" in the configuration/heads menu and afterwards on head". Exit the menu by clicking on OK. The camera is now adjusted. 10 MultiPress-II
