Using the computer located in the cabinet: After the data projector has been successfully turned on, ensure that the computer is also powered on. It is located within the cabinet (this will be labeled and have a steady blue light emitting from the case). To project the computer image, press the button labeled COMPUTER on the AMX panel. Next, retrieve the wireless keyboard from inside the cabinet. Press any key on the wireless keyboard to activate the computer. The data projector will then project the computer image. Log on to the network using the login information provided to you by CCS or IMS. The integrated touchpad, located at the bottom of the keyboard takes the place of a regular mouse. Simply glide your finger over the touchpad to move the computer cursor.

Using your laptop with the data projector in the room: (1)First, plug your VGA cable into the female VGA (COMPUTER) port on the connector plate at the top of the equipment rack. (2)If you also require sound, then plug your cable into the AUDIO input. (3)If you need to use the Internet, plug an Ethernet cable into the Ethernet jack. 4 Once the data projector has powered on, press the LAPTOP button. If your laptop does not automatically send its video signal to the data projector, you may need to manually output the video signal. If you require assistance in doing this, call ext. 3815 from the phone inside the cabinet. Adjusting the volume: Locate the volume buttons on the AMX panel (UP/DOWN/MUTE) in the cabinet. In order to decrease the volume, press the DOWN button. Conversely, to increase the volume, press the UP button. Please be considerate of people in the classroom s neighboring yours. When you are done, please ensure the volume has been reduced to an appropriate level for the next user.

Blanking the image (temporarily) from the data projector: 5 With the data projector powered on, press the ON button once to blank the projected image. The red light next to the button will begin to flash. To restore the image, press the ON button once again. Using the Cabinet VCR: Before beginning, make sure that the data projector has been powered on, and that the volume on the AMX panel is reduced. (1) Insert the tape into the VCR side of machine (number 1 on diagram). (2) Select the VCR button on the AMX panel. (3) Press PLAY/PAUSE to start the tape. (4) Adjust the volume on the panel to your desired level (page 4). (5)Press STOP to stop the tape, or PLAY/PAUSE in order to pause the tape. (6) To rewind or fast forward your tape you can use the remote secured to the rack or you may use the buttons located on the DVD/VCR itself (these buttons work for both DVD and VCR). (7) When you are finished using the VCR, remember to take your tape out of the machine, and turn the volume down on the AMX panel.

Using the Cabinet DVD player: Before beginning, make sure that the data projector has been powered on, and that the volume on the AMX panel is reduced. 6 (1) Power the DVD player ON (by pressing button 1).
