Elk Grove High School Wind Ensemble Concert Band Jazz I Jazz Combo Winter Percussion Winter Guard January 28, 2019 NEWSLETTER 2019 GOALS & EVENTS Dear Students and Parents, Here we go 2019! The following calendar details helps us stay focus and informed with our winter and spring events. I am so proud of our talented students and I appreciate all of our EGHS music parent support. Thank you so much for all the wonderful gifts I received before winter break. I truly appreciate your generosity and I am blessed to direct the EGHS Music Department, where I get to work with such wonderful students and their families. I am keeping up with updated music teaching tools by attending professional development classes. I attended a Instrument Repair Workshop and Conducting Workshop. I am attending jazz classes, organization tools, and more workshops on February 15, 16, and 17 at the California Music Education Association CASMEC Conference. Thank you for supporting music at Elk Grove High School. A special thank you to Australian exchange student host for hosting. Reminder that All carpool drivers must have finger prints on file with EGUSD and must have a current Auto Usage Form on file with EGHS. Please contact the EGHS office for questions. All Auto Usage forms must be turned in to the school controller. WPWG Financial update Out total production and staffing cost is $22,0000 Our snap raise profits is $1300 and divided by 50 students brought the total per student amount from $440 to $415. 14 students out of 50 have paid some amount and the $415 has been posted to student s ASB account so the balance posted is the amount owed. Total donation payments as of January 28 th = $2715. This is not enough to run the program or order any costumes, items, or props. We need everyone to make a payment of $200.00 (if you haven t yet) to order competition needs and to have after school staff.
