Does it pass the CRAAP Test? 27 Currency Is there a date? Is it really old? Is there a revision or update? Relevance Who is the audience? It is too simple or advanced for your purpose? Why use this one? Authority Who is the author? The publisher? Why should you trust them? Do other people trust them? Why? Accuracy Is it supported by evidence? Can this information be verified elsewhere? Purpose What is the author s purpose? Is there bias? Why was this written?
28 DOs Do keep your voices down in study areas. Do lock up your laptop. Do renew your books online. Do bring your ID card to borrow books you will also need your ID card to come into the library. Do check your @my.uwest.edu email address for notices and reminders!
29 DON Ts Don t be late returning a book. Fines: $0.25 per day per borrowed item. $1.00 per hour per course reserves book. If you cannot return an item on time or have other difficulties, please contact the library staff. Don t mark in the library books. Don t share your library account information.
